This property is set in a peaceful and tranquil location, amongst Yorkshire’s finest countryside and long stretches of magnificent beaches.

"Peace and tranquillity set amongst Yorkshire’s finest countryside and long stretches of magnificent beaches...""Peace and tranquillity set amongst Yorkshire’s finest countryside and long stretches of magnificent beaches..."

Steeped in history these former barn buildings have been lovingly restored using all of the original materials. Presented to a very high standard and offering spacious accommodation, each holiday cottage has its own enclosed garden and decked patio area for sole use, to while away the hours overlooking stunning paddocks where deer and foxes play. Guests have free use of the owners’ private indoor heated swimming-pool, a communal games room and a children’s play area. The complex is surrounded by open countryside and a newly planted broad leaf woodland area, and is only four miles from the pretty village of Brandesburton. Oaklands wedding venue is situated in the 150 acres of woodland that surround the properties. Struncheon Hill Farm is a haven for those who enjoy having fun around water with a river, lake and pond nearby. Fishing, canal cruises and a Jet Ski and Diving School are less than half a mile from the door. Visitors will find locally an 18-hole golf course, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, a parachute and gliding centre, and an RSPB bird sanctuary.
Just a short drive leads to the traditional seaside resorts of Bridlington, Scarborough and Filey with miles of Blue Flag sandy beaches, colourful promenades, inns and tea rooms in abundance, offering the perfect family day out. Walking and cycling tracks surround the cottages and there is easy access to the Yorkshire Wolds - one of Yorkshire’s best-kept secrets. Robin Hoods Bay is well worth a visit, where children will love the chance to search for fossils amongst the rock pools. For stunning views, Flamborough Head is a must and visitors will delight in the puffin colonies that cling to the cliff side. For an alternative day trip, York will not disappoint and meandering along the cobbled streets of ‘The Shambles’, packed with curio and antique shops, as well as many museums including The National Railway Museum and Jorvik Viking Centre will keep both adults and children alike amused for hours.
Explore British heritage when visiting stately homes and halls such as Burton Agnes Hall with its large collection of Monet and Renoir paintings, or Sledmere Hall with its beautiful gardens only a
30-minute drive away. The attractive market town of Beverley 12 miles away, where visitors can enjoy ancient cobbled streets, quaint shops and friendly local people, completes the area of peace and tranquility surrounding Struncheon Hill Farm. Shops, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

Spacious open-plan living/dining room with farmhouse-style kitchen, breakfast area and wooden floor. Double bedroom with 5ft bed and TV. Twin bedroom with TV. Vaulted ceilings throughout. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.

Very pleasant location if a little remote. Excellent for dog owners, and the pool is great added bonus.

We have really enjoyed our stay at meadow view it was peaceful and relaxing as we needed. Some things disappointed us, it wasn't then cleanest place we have stayed but because dogs are allowed in I'm guessing that's why. We were made to feel uncomfortable by a female employee/owner whilst swimming she entered didn't speak and after 5 mins walked out and slammed the door, which I was unimpressed about! We never met the owner but had a contact number for him if we needed him. The fridge seemed a little faulty and at times did not close properly meaning some of our contents was not kept cool and fresh including our sons milk which if my husband had not noticed it could have ended a lot worse giving a baby gone off milk. Apart from them few little things we have loved our stay and would definitely go back. The dog walking paddock is great and my dog loved it! The pool is wonderful and the quietness and peacefulness is beautiful.

Facilities were fantastic. We enjoyed the swimming pool and games room. It was lovely and peaceful.Cottage exceptionally clean and well equipped. However we felt the layout of the cottage was poor. It was called meadow view but actually had no view as the meadow was on the other side where there were no windows. There was no view at all from the cottage. The cottage was on a road which was 3 miles from the nearest village and was not as stated 5 miles from a sandy beach but a good 40 mins away.

Scored lower on comfort and equipment only as the bed was very uncomfortable and the kitchen was not well equipped as it could be(no baking dishes or trays, not enough bowls). House is lovely, the pool is amazing, loads of space to run around.

We couldn't have asked for more from our cottage. We had a great welcome pack and flowers left for us which was a lovely touch. Swimming pool fab and great area to exercise dogs. Ample enclosed garden with decking area. Very clean with everything you could think of. Close to Bridlington, Scarborough, Beverley, Hornsea and Filey. Nice play area with lots of walks. Very relaxing with lovely views. We would love to stay here again and would definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Meadow View was a lovely place to stay, in a beautiful location. It was great for dogs, having a private, fenced garden at the back, as well as an enormous, fenced paddock for them to run around in. It was also wheelchair-friendly, and we had access to a swimming-pool, which we usually had to ourselves. When we arrived, there were flowers, a bottle of wine, tea, coffee, biscuits and milk, which was welcoming and handy, because it's a few miles to the nearest shop. My one slight criticism would be of the lighting: it was quite dim over the cooking area.
