We love Felixstowe Ferry and have stayed at Mariners Lodge many times. It would be nice to see it updated a bit now. Beds and sofas aren’t great and the bathrooms really need some work. Nothing stops us from coming back but a few improvements could be made. Can’t fault the cleanliness or presentation of what is there though.

Damp and stunk of mold ground floor.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; I take any adverse comments on the property seriously as I want all Guests to be satisfied and enjoy their stay at Mariners Lodge. In 12 years of welcoming Guests, no comments of this nature have been made before. I have spoken to the Caretaker of the property who advises that as there was a blank week previously, they took the opportunity to repaint damaged areas of the decorations of the ground floor rooms. A lot of making good was carried out in the kitchen and dining room following which the property was closed. It seems almost certain this was the cause of the smell. We always ask Guests to contact us if they have issues but we heard nothing. It was such a pity the Caretaker was not informed of the grievance when the Guests left, as the matter could have been immediately resolved.

Very good as ever - this was our third visit. Wonderful views from the balcony over the golf course. Well-equipped house which would be even better if it had broadband.

We've stayed many times and love it here! Well equipped cottage, not over fussy, glorious location. Maybe just update the upstairs shower...? But it's not a deal breaker for us. Already booked our next trip.

The cottage was well equipped (even washing -up liquid). Right on the beach which was ideal for the dogs. Ferry cafe and Pub was a lovely stroll along the beach path. Cottage was cosy and comfortable with great views onto the Golf Course and the Sea from the upstairs lounge. No Wi-fi which was brilliant for the 2 teenage grandchildren, so played lots of board games. Will hopefully be going back again.
