Very comfortable stay at mariners lodge. All the things you could possibly need for a comfortable relaxing holiday.location is great for walking and the beach. Good food available very close by with the main town close enough for anything else you might need.

It was comfortable and clean and a good location. The only problem was, signs to say, no bathing in the sea due to strong current's .

A quirky and comfortable house. The heating was great, the beds were comfortable, although some of the fixtures and fittings were a little dated. Our stay coincided with the road outside being resurfaced and the next door neighbour building an extension, however, as our stay was for the purpose of visiting family in hospital, we were thankfully out of the property during the day. Wonderfully quiet at night. Some curtains to prevent early morning daylight in the upstairs bedroom would also be welcome. The addition of wifi to the property would have helped reduce the isolation felt by our teenage children!

A fantastic holiday accommodation. It was our first visit in the winter months and couldn't believe how warm and cosy the property was. Very well equipped and Fantastic views, can recommend the Ferry Boat pub for very generous and good meals also friendly atmosphere. Cant wait until our next visit.

An ideal situation with walks in both directions and interesting views from the upstairs sitting room and bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we could want and was very well thought out. No need to move far from the dishwasher to put things away! The house was spotlessly clean and very warm, although there was a very cold wind during our stay and some very heavy hoar frosts. We would certainly go again.

We have stayed in Cottages through you several times, sadly this is the first place we have not enjoyed. Better lighting especially in the ground floor dining room where no light gets in from outside, dark and gloomy. Good kitchen but the saucepans have seen better days. We bought a frying pan rather than use those in the cupboards. Overall the place was not clean. The duvet in the ground floor bedroom was worn out and very thin as were the pillows. I found 2blankets in a cupboard to keep me warm. The box of tourist information smelt unpleasant. The first floor was very nice. I compared this cottage to others we have had from you, the standards in Mariners Lodge were much lower, it spoilt our holiday.

We've been to this well equipped cottage ( really a spacious house) three times. Lovely views over the sea & countryside. Lovely to drink coffee in the cafe at the waters edge at the Ferry where younger ones can try crabbing (all the equipment needed is in the garage). Not far from Felixstowe town, sea front (gardens being landscaped & improved) & docks ( again there's a cafe there) watch the huge ships come in to unload. If the weather is unkind there are dvds, books and family games to keep the family amused! We hope to book again 2016 or 2017. We've given it a full 50/50 rating. It deserves it.

We were only there as a couple, but had thought we might book again to go with grandchildren. The house is as near the beach as the description says, but it isn't made clear that it is an area of beach which is not safe for paddling and swimming. I would have been very disappointed to arrive with children and find that the children couldn't play around in the sea on the beach near the house. I would also have found the fridge/freezer very small for a group of 7 for a week.

lovely place for a relaxing holiday, good facilities, good walking from the door and a good pub with food in the village. Just needs wi fi.

We enjoyed our stay. Apart from the tired towels the house was an excellent holiday home. Having washing sachets and dishwasher tablets was a nice touch.
