We enjoyed ourselves very much. There was everything we needed in the cottage. It was comfortable, plenty of room as there was 7 of us. People were very friendly. Defiantly go again.

Great location, well maintained and nicely refurbished. Only downside, footpath through garden and old boy pottering around in garden.

The cottage and garden were lovely, but although we were told we could bring a dog, we found the owner had a small dog which could come into the garden. The two dogs didn't get on and on the last day our dog was bitten which entailed a vet's bill which rather took the gloss off the holiday. Other than that incident Limber View is a lovely home from home and we all enjoyed the break.

Great place to get away from it all. If you like peace and quiet, lovely gardens, great walking, moorland setting and warm hosts, this is the place.

A delightful cottage with ample space, good facilities and homely feel and amazing gardens with excellent views over beautiful countryside. Unusually it has a public footpath running through the garden, 'The Eskdale Way', which wasn't a problem until a local dog walker passed through with her two Jack Russell type dogs off lead, which frightened our 2 year old granddaughter playing in the garden.

I stayed here with my husband and three single friends, it was important that there were enough bedrooms and bathrooms without sharing and Limber view was perfect for this. Lovely character, stunning gardens, well equipped and plenty of space. The whole group was happy with the cottage. We accepted that we had a short drive down single track roads to get to the village, that goes with the territory. We also knew there was a footpath through the garden, but as walkers ourselves this didn't bother us at all, in fact people using the path were concerned about walking over the pristine lawn! We would all of us definitely use this again. We found it an easy walk to the village pub, although this would not be the case for a lot of people. The owners were lovely and we had a welcome cake. There was also milk, sugar, tea and coffee there, so we didn't have to unpack straight away to be able to make a cup of tea when we arrived. Quite important when we had driven up from Devon that day.

Lovely spacious cottage in a stunning location. Set in beautifully landscaped grounds the cottage has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, quality linen and felt very homely. The friendly owners were close by and really helpful but not intrusive. The general store/post office and butcher in the village are within walking distance and are excellent. The footpath through the cottage garden was no problem. Loved the cake and flowers on our arrival. All in all a lovely place and would we go back...... most definitely!

We had a fantastic holiday. The cottage was in a beautiful setting and perfect for us as we took our dog. We had 7 in our party and the cottage was well equipped and had plenty of room to accommodate us all. The cottage was very clean and although we took games and cards with us we needn't have as there were already plenty in the cottage. With beautiful walks just outside the back door and the lovely Witby & Robin Hoods Bay a short drive away we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend.

Beautiful cottage, well equipped and in a fantastic rural location. You can literally walk from your door straight into the countryside. The well kept gardens are large and secure, so perfect for the children and dog to play safely. The cottage is very homely, you feel like you are staying in someone's home, rather than a rental as there are plenty of books, games, dvds at your disposal. The owners were so friendly and there was even a cake waiting in the kitchen when we arrived. Comfy beds with nice soft linen. Best rental cottage I have stayed in and we have stayed in quite a few!

beautiful cottage , could not fault it. would think twice about booking it for the summer because of the walkers tramping threw the garden if you wanted a barbeque or a spot of sunbathing there is no privacy , but we did meet some lovely people and they dogs . Owners lovely, choc cake and flowers beautiful.
