The location of the cottage is wonderful, however the cleanliness of it is somewhat lacking. The oven made my eyes sting when it was on as it was in need of cleaning. There were loads of cobwebs and spiders especially above and around the bed and thick dust on light fittings in the kitchen. There was a very strong smell of dog coming from the lounge carpet and the vacuum cleaner. Considering the cost of the cottage I expected better.

Response on behalf of the owner; We are very sorry that you were unhappy with the condition of the cottage. We had been on holiday ourselves in the weeks leading up to your visit and were taken aback on our return to find it far below our usual standard of cleanliness. We did as much as we could to rectify this before our next guests arrived. Our cottage is very popular with dog owners and we are implementing a new system for cleaning the vacuum and its filters to help eliminate any doggy odours!

We really enjoyed our stay, facilities were good, lovely location, with plenty of garden space for 2 small dogs to run around. Good places to eat nearby and excellent beach area to explore and take the dogs

Being dog owners it is always a priority to have an adequate and mainly secure garden. This requirement was met by the large walled garden. The cottage is well equipped inclusive of Wi-Fi for those who have the desire (we did ). the Wi-Fi is fast enough to pick up live TV without interruption. Location is perfect for those wanting seaside without all the "razzamataz" - the walks from the cottage are ideal for those able to do a bit of hiking. We enjoyed our stay - first time in this area of Norfolk - still lots to discover and no doubt we will return to this cottage again. It is also worth taking on board the history of the cottage and its association with the lighthouse. Although out of normal hours we arranged with the trustees to have a look around the lighthouse. A very interesting gentleman well versed in the history of the lighthouse and the locality in general. We would recommend all residents take up the opportunity to gain an insight into the origins and history of the site.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location. Beautiful beach a short walk away. Large safe garden for the dog. Lots to see around the area. Nice pub in village and plenty of supermarkets a short drive away for supplies.

The cottage was warm and cosy, even in February and everything we needed was provided. The wind was pretty fierce! The pub was within walking distance and the food there was good and the people friendly.

Lovely location & comfy lounge - loved the fire - feels slightly overpriced as would expect wi-fi for premium price & poor 3G coverage.

A very special place to stay - at the bottom of a lighthouse. The hall wall of the cottage is actually the bottom of the lighthouse. The almost 360' view from windows was great. It was well equipped and easily & quickly warmed up & our bed was comfortable. However the cottage was a little "tired" & could do with a freshening up, decorating wise, but without losing the period features. Don't worry about the Lighthouse light keeping you awake at night - it doesn't impact on the cottage at all, but u can see it from just outside the back door.
