The positives about this property are that the location is lovely, the enclosed terrace is super and the kitchen is good. The downsides are the shower room plumbing and the bed in the larger bedroom. The location is wonderfully quiet and convenient for visiting a large area of interest. The terrace is a sun trap, private and sheltered. However, after two showers in the morning the shower room was often flooded and use of washing machine or kitchen sink made the shower room waste water gush back through the drain. Our hosts said they had been made aware of that but hadn't seen fit to tell us. There is a problem with the double bed in the larger bedroom as the metal mattress holder does not fit correctly in the wooden surround which means the mattress slopes to one side or the other. The public water supply was shut off while we were there and despite the Chateau having its own supply the owners didn't get the person looking after the property to switch over to that that for over 36 hours during which time we were using swimming pool water to flush the loo and heating pool water to wash in. Communications with the owners were difficult as they made promises to contact us but didn't. Documentation suggests the owners live on site but they only seem to be there at weekends. On the whole we enjoyed the stay but sympathetic owners could have made it so much better.
