We were very cosy in spite of freezing conditions. The 'real' fire was easy to get going and lasted all evening. We've been three times now and find it very convenient for walks with our dogs and getting around local beauty spots.

A lovely cottage in very peaceful surroundings. (Although there are bus services to the area, you would benefit from having your own transport if you wish to explore the area.) The cottage is very well equipped with a large kitchen and separate, comfortable lounge/ dining area. The open fire was a great boost as we stayed in November. Central heating system was very efficient with instant hot water and excellent shower. Lots of information provided about the equipment in the cottage. A drawer full of local maps and activity leaflets. Numerous games and books. Excellent wifi connection, but mobile signal very poor.

Our second stay at this lovely and homely cottage, which was just as enjoyable as the first. We like it so much, that we have already booked to stay next year.

We really enjoyed our stay, lots of interesting places to see, a car is a must to get about, also ideal for walking, close to the country side, the neighbors / local people are all very helpful.

Really nice accommodation and not too far for us to travel from Birmingham. Thought a little expensive as not a coastal location and not really far enough west if you like trips out to the sea.

This was our second visit to Honeysuckle Cottage, it is comfy and clean. It was a nice thought to leave teabags, coffee and milk makes all the difference when you have had a long journey. The cottage is central for visiting places of interest.

The cottage was comfortable, welcoming, roomy and well equipped. The garden was delightful, and our dog really enjoyed running about and rolling on the lawn. We enjoyed the local walks and the pub, and the situation was great for seeing all the picturesque and interesting parts of Shropshire; also for trips across into Wales. Neighbours (including Heather who does the cleaning) were friendly. Some minor maintenance issues: the long-handled brush & dustpan were broken and unusable; the soap rack in the shower and the towel loop in the bathroom were both coming loose; the filter in the dryer was blocked with fluff (could be dangerous); the new doors were very stiff, and we could not manage to close and lock the front outer door when we left. But overall a pleasure to stay there.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments following your recent stay in Honeysuckle Cottage. We value guests comments which helps us to make your stay as welcoming as possible. We have replaced the dustpan and brush and made the repairs that were suggested. Regarding the tumble dryer, there is a notice asking guests to clean out the fluff when they use it and we usually check it on changeover days. Very occasionally this gets overlooked and I'm sorry this happened before your stay. Thank you for the remaining very positive comments and we hope you visit Shropshire again.
