The atmosphere and location didn't disappoint with this historical cottage. The owners had paid such attention into the details, there was everything you needed or likely to need. It was very warm and cozy with the log fire burning. There is so much to see in the area if you like touring by car. We didn't drive far but saw different sights from National Trust properties, Cathedrals, Cheese factory and walks in the woods. We wound definitely recommend this one and will hopefully be back one day.

Very good, we would not stay there again because we have been there and done that, not because we did not like the location or the cottage.

This is absolutely ideal for anyone seeking a peaceful quiet holiday. It's also well situated for touring. The cottage is in a lovely position overlooking woodlands and a brook. The cottage is well equipped with pretty much everything you could need. Logs were provided for the wood burner and we lit it on the colder nights. It was soon warm and cosy. We found the beds very comfortable too. The kitchen is well equipped, although the cooker is rather outdated. The hob was slow to heat. This is only a minor niggle really. The cottage was so lovely that I don't think anything would stop us from wanting to return. We spent many evenings watching the wildlife in the dingle. We were lucky enough to see a deer, fox, rabbits, bats, bird of prey - and much more - all from the cottage window. The squirrels at the bird feeder also kept us entertained. Perfect place to chill out away from it all.

A very lovely cottage with lots of character in a lovely location, the cottage has been relocated from its original location of 1661, if you stay at this cottage you must read the history in the book of its relocation and stroll up to the site where it was first erected. A lovely place to stay, very warm cosy and well worth a visit.
