The apartment is very spacious, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is no washing machine though which I thought there was when I booked, however, the owners live next door and they allow theirs to be used. Owners very nice and welcoming. The location is good, some beautiful scenery. Mobile phone, no chance in doors and the internet (supplied by wifi next door) is the slowest I've ever known since modem days. That said, I did most of my itinerary work before we went away so only needed it for quick stuff at night like Facebook or to look up the weather. Nearest town is Laurencekirk about 6 miles away which has a supermarket, smaller shops and a chinese (which was nice)

Can't praise Glensaugh Lodge too highly it was lovely and quiet, very comfortable, beautiful scenery we were also blessed with lovely weather. Loads to do and visit our only complaint was that we only had a week to enjoy it all!

Amazing location if you love the countryside. Tansu sting working farm with friendly people and a licence to roam. Only downsides were the very firm beds and lack of washing machine in the lodge (one was available in the farm managers house on request). Overall a great place to go.

A quiet place for a good nights sleep without the noise of traffic. A very comfortable and welcoming property with everything you need. When you go outside the property it is very peaceful and tranquil in the daytime. The proprietors are also very friendly and welcoming. You really need to stay at this property to appreciate the lodge and surroundings. All in all a very peaceful holiday.

We had a great holiday, though not long enough of course! The lodge is in a beautiful location with everything we needed to prepare meals. We enjoyed walks and cycle rides directly from the lodge as well as travelling a short distance to other walks and fishing locations. We did have problems with the heating which stopped working after a day or two (seemed to coincide with the lighting of the biomass system). The owners were away themselves and the farm staff weren't able to help us with this. It wasn't too cold for the time of year but it would have been nice to have some heating in the evenings and first thing in the mornings. Unfortunately we didn't discover the mobile electric heater until the day we left!
