Description

Spacious barn conversion with a riverside location. Open fire and French doors out to a decked area perfect for dining al fresco.

Glanrafon Isaf is a fabulous converted barn and adjacent annexe that adjoins the River Gwyrfai, with full access for fishing and walking along the river bank. The open-aspect kitchen, dining and living area is ideal for family get-togethers and parties. The large decking area outside is ideal for barbecues and al fresco dining. This holiday home lies close to the town of Caernarfon and there is much to see in the area, including mighty Caernarfon Castle, the Galeri Arts Centre or take a trip on a steam train on the Welsh Highland Railway to Beddgelert. Children will also love Caernarfon’s Fun Centre (Yr Hwylfan), and Gypsy Wood Park in nearby Bontnewydd. It is also just a short journey to the Isle of Anglesey with its spectacular 125 miles of coastline and fascinating places to visit such as Beaumaris with its Edward I castle, Red Wharf Bay and the beautiful and leafy Newborough Forest. In the other direction is Snowdon which, at 3,560ft, is the highest mountain in Wales. A more relaxing way than climbing to the top is to take the train to the visitor centre at the summit - on a clear day the views are spectacular! The Victorian town of Llandudno, Llanberis and picturesque Betws-y-Coed are all within easy reach. Shop and pub 1½ miles.

Beamed living room with open fire, French doors and wooden floor, open-plan with beamed, kitchen/dining room. Utility. Double bedroom with 5ft bed, TV, French doors to garden and en-suite shower room with toilet. Two twin bedrooms and one double bedroom, each with French doors to garden; one twin and the double with shared en-suite shower room and toilet. Bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, shower attachment and toilet. First floor: Twin bedroom with low, sloping ceiling. Separate annexe: Living room with electric ‘coal-effect’ fire and wooden floor. 8 of us stayed here for a long weekend. What a fantastic place, very quite and away from it all. Accommodation was great, every thing you could want. Great outdoor terrace with BBQ. The annex was a bonus totally self contained. Would definately book again. Tesco only 5 minutes drive for supplies and the nearest town and each 5 minutes away. Snowdonia is 30 minutes away

Excellent holiday cottage. The owners could not of been more helpfull and allowed us a late check out at no extra cost. The cottage is as nice as the pictures make it look and is excellent value for money. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to go back.

Beautiful place felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, was absolutely perfect for our family Xmas break. I was surprised to find a Christmas tree and the table all set with Xmas crackers, was a nice little touch. Aspects of it could of been a bit cleaner but maybe I'm just ocd with that. Would definitely stay again.
