I love this place. I have stayed in this cottage 7 or 8 times now and it is always a wonderful experience. The location is ideal for those seeking solitude and nature but with Dingwall fairly close by amenities are not hard to find. There is loads for the avid walker or mountain biker to do locally, and half the time I don't even need to leave the Strathconon estate to keep myself entertained. Wildlife watchers will also enjoy themselves here with an abundance of wildlife around (the red deer are ever present companions). The cottage is beautifully cozy and welcoming on those cold winter nights when there is nothing better than curling up in front of the fire with a 'wee dram', or popping outside to stare at the stars whilst the frost nips your nose (if you can still feel it after the 'wee dram').

Cannot drink the water, cannot clean your teeth with it and it comes out of the tap brown. One of those awful twin beds pushed together to make a king so you slip down the hole all the time. Great log fire always replenished, comfy chairs decent kitchen, tiny fridge. So why would I go again? First the awesome stars right above your head as the cottage has roof windows, its like flying in space. Second waking up in the morning and seeing deer peering through your windows wondering who you are. These are both so unique that we would go again and again.

We visited Glacour Studio as our first ever cottage holiday in the Highlands – and we were blown away by how lovely this place is. It is better than the photos. Beautifully presented and maintained, and very clean. Scenery and surroundings are beautiful, we felt we could never get tired of the setting, and could spend hours just looking out the window with a radio playing quietly in the background. Truly peaceful and homely cottage. We are already planning our return.
