These attractive converted farm buildings have been finished to a very good standard of holiday accommodation and surrounded by green fields and only minutes from Perranporth. Perranporth on the dramatic North Cornwall Coast, has a stunning 3 miles of golden sand, backed by dunes and rolling fields. Right on the sand is a superb beach bar and restaurant with live music, good food and local ales. The coastal town is very family friendly with many surf, gift and local shops that line the high street that leads down to the beach. Surfing and surf hire can be found locally as well as a local golf course and horse riding which are both only minutes from Pencrennow. West of Perranporth is the coastal village of St. Agnes, and the quaint village of Crantock is to the east, both a must for the craft shops, stunning beaches and cliff walks. The surfing town of Newquay with its seven beaches is just minutes away with its many attractions which include a zoo, a sea life centre, Creally Adventure Park, Lappa Valley Steam Railway, leisure centre, golf course, pitch and putt course, parks and gardens. Newquay has many restaurants, cafés and shops as well as the beaches and dramatic cliff top walks. With its beaches comes surf and surf schools so you can try your hand at this exhilarating sport. Truro, the capital of Cornwall, is easily reached and is a must to explore the narrow cobbled streets and enjoy the restaurants, shopping, museum, cinema and theatre for an alternative day or evening out. Padstow, home to Rick Steins food empire is a must visit for all the family. Wander around the narrow streets that all lead to the working harbour and enjoy the ambience provided by this traditional working fishing village. This stretch of coastline is dotted with quiet beaches, secluded coves and has a rich history of smuggling. The cottage was just a little to far from the town to walk. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back, we have already recommended it to other people.

Lovely cottage with everything we needed for our weeks stay, lovely surroundings down a quiet lane. Very convenient for all places of interest and a nice but lengthy walk into Perranporth via the Bridle Way. Complex was always kept nice and clean and all the plants kept well watered adding to the already lovely ambiance.

Had a really good holiday with wall to wall sunshine. The Gatehouse was well situated for visiting different areas although we did think it was nearer the coast path and Perenporth but this didn't effect our holiday.
