We had a wonderful stay. Perfect for a group and the dogs. Plenty of glasses/plates/cutlery etc Location is fine but nothing is 'on the doorstep' though this didn't bother us as we had day trips out planned. Overall a fantastic place to stay. Contact with host was excellent too. We will book again, great value for money.

Had a lovely stay at the property . The owners are very friendly and welcoming, going through all the necessary information, and as their farm is on site, is handy for any questions. They were happy to offer advise on local places and attractions worth visiting. The location suited us perfectly as we were two families with 3 dogs, the access to the farm is great for dog walking, and the local pub ,The Cross Keys, is a pleasant 15 min stroll away and also dog friendly, with a lovely atmosphere. There is no shop within walking distance, but Ross on Wye is only a 10 min drive away with plenty of shops for all your needs. The house is very comfortable, with sofas and chairs to seat 11 people in the lounge, which is great, and has plenty of space. The dining area is attached to the kitchen which makes it a very sociable area. There are plenty of utensils, pots and pans, and crockery ,glasses etc. small point could do with a better tin opener and the hoover only appeared to function when using the attachment hose., other than that no complaints. There is an added bonus of having a larger fridge and separate freezer in the utility area. The bedrooms are very comfortable, with good quality bedding and pillows, and lovely large soft bath sheets, we had no trouble sleeping! All in all we had a lovely time and would not hesitate in recommending this property and hope to revisit in the future.

Great holiday with family. Downsides - light bulbs blew in the bedroom and hallway and no spares (the one in the bedroom also blew the trip switch when it went). The kitchen was a bit tired and the utensils and crockery somewhat random. Otherwise OK

This was the most perfect place for our family to be together for a big birthday celebration! It’s the perfect size, lots of communal areas and in a great , secluded location. It has everything you could need and all good space to do it in!! And to top it off the kitchen has everything you need including homemade cake!!!

Lovely converted barn, lots of space and great views. Owners were really friendly and accommodating. Nice big kitchen table for meals together and plenty of comfy seats in lounge area and all with flip out foot rests, we loved that! Great place if you're looking for a rustic country cottage feel, cobwebs and all! Would definitely go back.

We had a lovely family time at the cottage. The secure enclosed garden was great for the dogs and plenty of space inside for all the family. Brilliant facilities only suggestion would be bedside drawers and somewhere to hang clothes in the small bedroom off the kitchen. The owners were friendly and very helpful and lots to see and do in the surrounding area. Cross keys in. Excellent for food and within walking distance. If we visit that part of country again the cottage would be our first choice. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

This was a 3 generational holiday for ten. We loved the cottage, especially the views and surroundings. The kitchen was very well equiped though some of the equipment needs replacing, all the beds were very comfortable and the bedding and towels were lovely and clean, the bathrooms were excellent, with very good showers. Downstairs was superficially clean but we all agreed it could do with a deep clean, it is booked up fairly solidly which explains why it has not had one lately. Each morning there were snail trails across the hall floor but we could never find the culprits, they must have come under the outside door. The owners were welcoming and helpful and all in all we had a great week's holiday - even the weather was reasonable!

Excellent location , great weather, but unfortunately the owners , who although very friendly, had never heard of "cleaning ".The accommodation could be top-class but it was clear it had not been cleaned for a long time.We spent two hours cleaning it ourselves upon arrival .We mentioned this but Mrs.Bailey was obviously in denial saying she did not understand our concerns, including dog faeces behind television in lounge. The only plus was the nice clean bedding, at odds with the rest of the standards, &the beds were very comfortable. The windows all round were filthy inside & out and many of the catches were loose or coming away.Overall a great shame because the area is lovely & ideal for visiting many interesting & picturesque locations.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. The windows were cleaned in side and all have safety locks, which are always checked between guests. The outside windows are cleaned once a month. We take great pride in our properties and have many returning guests on a regular basis. This is an idyllic country property which sadly appears not to have been suitable for this particular family.
