A cosy and very clean cottage. Everything was working like it should. You can see that the owners are taking good care of the house. Very friendly owners. Dog friendly and a beautiful area to walk around.

It is difficult to mark location accurately as although the cottage is in a great place to visit a large number of places of interest it is also situated right on the edge of a road. Now, whilst this is advertised as "close to a minor road" the side of the cottage is built right on a foot-wide pavement edge and although it is a minor road it appears to be used as a rat run and vehicles drive really fast through the village despite numerous 30mph signs. On the positive side the cottage is immaculate and appears to have been recently updated and is a good base to visit places such as Eastbourne, Cuckmere Haven, Battle to name just a few.

A lovely cottage with all comforts! 'Dog friendly' pub just down the road and a beautiful location with lots of good walks. The only thing that spoilt it for us was the weather! It literally did not stop raining all the time we were there. We managed to get to Beachy Head (which was amazing!), Eastbourne and Lewes, but returned back to the cottage drenched! Would love to return- but later in the year when the weather is (hopefully!) better! However, I would certainly recommend this cottage.

right beside a road with some traffic noise, otherwise a decent cottage but with no garden worth the name.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We were surprised to read that you expected to find a 'garden' at fox cottage. We would always advise reading the property description before booking. Please see our answer to the previous review.
