One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in, no problems to report. Good having the friendly helpful owners next door with their micro bakery. Very good village pub.

You can't help falling in love with this cosy, comfortable cottage! The accommodation is surprisingly spacious & kept lovely & clean by it's owners, Karen & Ray who also have it well equipped with everything you need on a self-catering holiday! The enclosed rear garden is an added bonus for those on holiday with their dog, like we did. The village residents are welcoming & friendly & many are dog-owners themselves. There are several walks around the village with marked pathways & the River Seven which runs through the village is ideal for dogs who like to play in water - ours had a wonderful time in it! The location is ideally situated for ease of access to the Yorkshire Moors & coastal resorts. Whether you are a dog owner or not, Evergreen Cottage has so much to offer & we will definitely return & highly recommend anyone to stay there. Thank you Karen & Ray for everything!

Lovely cottage. Great location convenient for visiting many attractions of the area. Scones and the freshly baked bread from next door bakery are delicious.

Very comfortable, well-equipped, cottage with friendly owners, welcoming but not intrusive. Nice village, conveniently placed for the local attractions. Nice to have the bakery next door!

We had a great week at Evergreen Cottage. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped, with everything you could need to make a quick snack or a gourmet meal. It has a lovely, quirky layout yet is very spacious, lovely to toast your toes by the open fire in the evenings. The village is lovely and is a great spot for visiting the area. There are plenty of walks from the doorstep. We took our bikes with us and there are plenty of places to cycle, with a choice of easy or challenging routes to choose from. Can recommend the early bird menu at the Fox and Hounds, good food and good value. Also the owners micro bakery next door, the bread was delicious and we ordered extra to freeze and take home with us. Thanks Karen and Ray for letting us stay in your lovely cottage.
