The cottage was well equipped and ideal for our short stay. Not all instructions were completely accurate or up-to-date but this caused only minor problems.

Booked this hotel as we wanted to be close to relatives, which this was an ideal location being approx. 25 minutes from them.

We had a super stay at Elm Cottage, it is decorated and furnished to a very high standard and was very comfortable. The only negative, which wouldn't stop us staying there again, was the limited water pressure in the shower. We would absolutely recommend this cottage and are already planning a second visit.

the caretaker was extremely helpful to us as we couldn't find the cottage with the directions from Ayr. There were cleanliness points the draining board had residue staining on it like a bucket had been emptied on it, the bath had a tide mark ( yes the previous people had used blue bath soak) and there was an unpleasant smell in the cottage when we got there. I cleaned the things I noted and vacuumed the entrance too. The caretaker was extremely kind and helped us with directions, the fire, how to work the tv, the electrics and told us where best to walk our dog. We explored the area and the only reason we wouldn't go back is because we didn't find very much to do in the area. We drove around all the neighbouring towns and villages and the best was Lanark. What we liked was the comfy beds, the corner style bath with lots of hot water, the wood burning fire and the wifi.

Our stay was iydilic, just what we needed for a getaway break. The cottage was perfect and log fire made an ideal winter setting. The only thing missing was grit and shovel, we found ourselves snowed in without a phone signal.... We made it a fun challenge.... Definitely come back in warmer climates x

Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. Lovely walks nearby. The cottage was finished to a very high standard with everything you may need. The Welcome Pack on arrival was really appreciated. Peaceful, quiet, comfortable. Can't praise this cottage enough. Would highly recommend. I will definitely be going back.

Excellent holiday despite weather. Very comfortable cottage with everything you could possibly need. Only downfall was the midges. Can't blame the cottage for that:) Looking forward to trying the other cottages

The advertisement, particularly photo, created an illusion of great views, space and isolation. However, this is not the case, being one of four within a courtyard. The accommodation did not allow for any privacy added to which the location made impossible for immediate walking and scenic pleasure. The confusing hob top of the cooker made cooking impossible.
