Fabulous cottage with everything you need easily found. Comfortable and more roomy than I thought from the pictures. Only downside is parking - although there is parking at the back of the cottage it is very tight for space. Location is fabulous and was especially good for ease of access to the canal tow path for walking the dogs. Would highly recommend and would have scored 10's all round if parking had been better.

The cottage is right on the Crinan Canal and it has a little terraced garden which allows you you sit outside and people/boat watch. It has a well equipped kitchen, and my favourite thing - a wood fire - which really throws some heat out and was welcome during the evening, although have to say the central heating is equally fierce!! Some really nice walks close by, there is a walk which takes you to a village where clearances took place, really well preserved, the forests walks are well signposted and good for overlooking the canal system. And then you have the canal walk into Crinan with a nice lunch on the hotel terrace again overlooking the canal basin - sitting in the sun with a beautiful seafood salad, nice crisp white wine and good company. The only negative for me was the cottage did not seem to have been cleaned before our arrival - there was unwashed crockery/cutlery in the dishwasher, crumbs on one of the seats, the carpets needed vacuuming, kitchen worktops were in need of a clean, and the bath had debris which had fallen from the velux window, and which had been left. Perhaps the usual cleaner was ill? On our penultimate day we say otters playing on the river bank, and then in the canal . I will certainly revisit the Crinan Canal and next time take my kayak

This property was a perfect base for exploring the district. Good view of the canal and in better weather a nice place to sit out and watch the boats. Well equipped kitchen and bathroom but my only comment which is not really a complaint is the size of the bed. If it were a divan then my feet wouldn't have been right up against the footboard. King size even better and a bigger duvet please. Be aware that mobile signal is non existent and wifi erratic.

Website stated washer/dryer; washer only. Could have been cleaner and spruced up a bit. Otherwise ok.

The property could certainly have been cleaner. Disappointed that there wasn't at least some wood for the fire in the livingroom. Can opener didn't work. Rather tired decor. Entry time of 5pm far too late in the day, albeit speaking directly with the owner meant we got in earlier in the afternoon on our first day.
