We recently spent a week over New Year in this delightful cottage. The cottage has a lovely homely feel to it and is equipped with everything you need. It was immaculate and very comfortable. Frankie and Max, the owners of the cottage and who live in the farmhouse made us feel very welcome and were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We loved the fact that the cottage had been decorated with a christmas tree and christmas lights as we were staying over the festive period and the thoughtful little touches of flowers, chocolates and fresh eggs from their chickens. We very much enjoyed having a real fire in the evening after the day walking and sight-seeing. The views from the cottage are stunning. We would highly recommend staying here .... we will definitely be going back!

A fantastic spot with great caretakers. The cottage was very cosy and warm (perfect heating for cold days) and the assistancde from of the owners (ex vets; now farmers!) regarding scenery spots ion the area was most welcomed. In short: A great holiday!

It is hard to image a better value for money cottage in Scotland. As someone suffering with a bad back it was an absolute pleasure to be able to sleep in comfort every night. To wake up to the rabbits running, the sheep calling and other than that no noise of the city is a dream come true to us city folk. The location is both remote and well connected with Oban 10 minutes away and a well stocked multi-purpose shop only 2 miles away. At the shop are walking paths to a beautiful beach and hills with a coffee house full of sweet treats to return to. Max and Frankie look after you and are great hosts, unobtrusive but willing to stop and spend time with you. Of course their dog Moss will demand that you play ball with him, but their cat Dougal may either be aloof or demand fuss on her terms! Take a time to see the farm, the feeling of the sheep herded towards me is a fantastic memory and it was great to meet Charlotte! The area is Western Scotland at a high point. With Oban, Glencoe and Inverurie to satisfy shopping urges, Islay possible for a day trip (ok, maybe an early start was needed) whisky addicts like us could easily reach 10 distilleries in the week. But topping it all has to be the huge opportunities for walks, cycles, boat trips etc. Just a last note - The Old Inn at Appin had the simplest steak menu ever and delivered the best steaks ever too - thanks to Max and Frankie for the tip!

This was the best holiday we have ever had and we're in our 60's, so we've had a few! The cottage is idyllic, just perfect, being so lovely, peaceful and surrounded by breathtaking landscape. The owners, Frankie and Max (and Moss the farm dog) are welcoming and friendly, allowing us into their "dream come true" on their smallholding for a couple of weeks, thanks to both of you, it was magic. The cottage is in a great position for a holiday in West Coast Scotland, away from everyday hubbub and only about 10 minutes drive from Oban, with its ferries, train service, restaurants and shops. If you want to experience a real taste of Scotland, you must stay here, we highly recommend it and are keen to return.

Wonderful cottage full of character, all the amenities we could possibly need and in a great location. Our hosts Max and Frankie were fabulous and we loved Moss the sheepdog and all the animals on the farm. Our stay was far too short to enjoy all of Oban and the islands and we would strongly recommend this cottage to everyone.
