A very warm welcome from Max and Frankie. Cottage was very well equipped and although initially the lack of wifi was a miss, it was nice to do without it for a while. Whilst staying there, my husband had an accident and Max and Frankie were very supportive and helpful. I loved the area, which teams with wildlife, wild flowers and some very stunning scenery. I am keen to return and spent more time exploring.

Charming cottage on a working sheep farm and is surrounded by fields, woodlands and mountains, making it the ideal Highland holiday home. Max and Frankie and not forgetting Moss the sheep dog are great hosts, they are both so informative on the local places to visit and others within 20 to 30 miles away. The cottage is very well-equipped, there are two bedrooms, with one boasting an en-suite, lovely large cosy lounge with a log burning fire, a nice dinning room which also has log burning fire, a nice small conservatory to sit in and have your coffee and read your paper or to sit and watch the sheep and there lambs running around. The kitchen has everything that you will need for your stay. Dalvuie Beag is a perfect place for exploring this part of stunning Scotland.

Max and Frankie are the perfect hosts, friendly and welcoming on arrival and very helpful throughout our stay. They live close by, but are not intrusive though always are happy to suggest places to visit. They were happy to show us the farm and the new arrivals. The cottage is a delight. Comfortable, well equipped and clean, it was the perfect base for exploring the area. Only seven miles from Oban, you can visit the lovely town, drive to amongst other places the Mull of Kintyre, Glencoe, or you can take a ferry trip. We hope to return very soon.

Fantastic weekend break, we just wished that we had been staying longer. We were given a great welcome and the cottage had absolutely everything that you could possibly need. There is lots to see and do in the area and the folders in the cottage detailing all the attractions near and far were really useful. At this time of year, to come back to snuggle in with a nice fire was great. We had clear skies at night and to lie in bed and look at the stars was amazing. We would love to go back.

Our third visit to Dalvuie Beag. Once again we had a great stay. Plenty of peace and quiet. The farmhouse is perfect and the location ideal for exploring the area. Our only wish is that we had an internet connection which is really useful for planning days out and booking ferries etc. The wireless just does not work.

We visited Dalvuie Beag end of Sept 15, we know the area very well having been regular visitors since 1999. This was our first stay at Dalvuie Beag and every single area had been carefully presented for an extremely comfortable stay. The cottage is superb, with an excellent kitchen and facilities. The hosts live on-site and could not have been more welcoming, along with their pet sheep dogs. We will most definitely be returning and we hope for a much longer stay. The location is excellent for walking, cycling or water activities with easy access to the many pretty villages, to Oban and to the MacBrayne ferries if you want to explore the islands. If you like to have Wi-Fi connection it is a little poor and could probably benefit from a little boost given the location. Would thoroughly recommend this property whether you are visiting with friends or family.

This venue was a delightful place to stay. In the heart of the countryside with no noisy neighbours. We have scored 10 out of 10 for Dalvuie Beag because it deserves it. We are planning on staying here again but not sure when. The picture you have of this place does not do it justice as the back end of this property is nicer in our view. All the rooms are spacious and well lit. The kitchen area and utility room were fully equipped with more than you would want on a holiday. A beautifully furnished house. We enjoyed the daily visits from both sheep dogs Moss and Softie (and Charlotte the sheep with her daughters- from time to time). Remembering this is a working farm. It was a joy looking out of the windows at the beautiful landscape. What a fantastic place to live. Well done!

Perfect location lovely views, peaceful a real home from home. The cottage is fully equipped and well provided. It was nice to sit in the sun lounge and watch the sun rise . Yes they do get good weather in Scotland. Max and Frankie are the perfect hosts. You won't get better. The icing on the cake are the farm characters, Moss a working dog and part time ball retriever, Softie, very affectionate, Dougal the cat in charge of the dogs and the sheep and cows who seem to acquire a personality of their own. An ideal base to tour, handy for Oban and ferries to Mull and other isles as well as tours up the coast. With nearby beaches you will find plenty to do.
