Although small the cottage was perfectly adequate for two adults and a medium dog. It would have been convenient if there had been an enclosed garden for the dog but we knew that was not the case when we booked so not complaining. Neighbours and local people very friendly and helpful and very close to the canal and a walk along the towpath with only a short drive to more open country. The walk starting along the reservoir as described in a leaflet found in the cottage was also enjoyable. Visited Skipton Market on Saturday. Would certainly go again.

we booked for a 4 night new year break arriving 30th December at 230pm , we returned home the following morning at 930am on 31st December . The cottage was very cold despite heating on . The bedroom was to small for the size of bed and my husband burnt his leg getting out of the bed to go the bathroom as there was a tiny space between wall and bed. . The bathroom was uncomfortably small. there was no heating in the hall or on landing meaning everytime u came up or down stairs or was freezing and u had to keep living room door closed. It was advertised as having freeview tv and wifi we couldnt get either and were told on return home its due to area but this wasant stated in the write up . have stated in numerous 1 bed cottages/barn conversions lodges and static caravans and never had any problems with size or heating. In the guest book there were several reviews mentioning heating insufficient for the cottage . there are nicer accomodations to visit and spend your monedy on I wouldn't recommend this cottage to couples.

Great location for visiting family and friends. Nice cottage for no more than two people. The weather could have been more agreeable: showers, rain, some sun and breezy, not normal for September.

We know the area well having family locally. The cottage is small we were aware of this ideal for two people and a small dog, nice quiet village with friendly and helpful locals with good places to eat. Cafe cargo on the canal is an excellent place to relax and take a canal walk. Limited access to sky TVs due to poor signal BT tv is acceptable but with limited choice, wasn't a problem for us as we out every day it was nice to go back to a warm cosy cottage. A few minor problems a shortage of kitchen utensils and light switch in bathroom was to high for one of us to reach( she's 4' 11") plus point shower is great, overall I would recommend this cottage .
