Wonderful cottage with all you need. Clean, warm and well presented. Location made the holiday different strolling along the prom to the car park each day, or walking into Gardenstown for a pint.

Simply magnificent. If you're looking for a peaceful holiday, close to the ocean, with lots of scenic walks and very few people, look no further. We loved the cottage. Crovie Village and the cottage itself, is the result of the Highland Clearances of the 1700 and 1800's. The land was cleared of people to make way for sheep. In this particular place, people could only build homes between the low and the highwater mark. This is where you'll find the cottage - 4 meters from the seawall. It's a truly stunning location. Many of the 60-odd cottages that make up the entire village are as original as they can, and are all built in a line facing the ocean. There's ocean in front, and farm land behind. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, especially if you want a true escape from the modern world. That's not to say there aren't modern amenities. Everything you could want is in the cottage, including wifi. The owners were fantastic too. Lots of communication to make sure we'd arrived safely, a handwritten note to let us know where things were and how to make things in the cottage work (hot water, etc.), and a text message check in whilst we were there to make sure all was well. I could gush on and on about how wonderful the place and the area is, but the best way to get a full appreciation of it would be just to go and see for yourself.
