Slightly disappointed. Good things are close proximity to 3 pubs. Not as nice as others pubs in the area but still worth visiting. The cottage we did not think justified 4 stars. Apart from the fact that there were 2 bathrooms the cottage felt cramped and a bit dowdy and the T V was too small. We asked for the twin beds to be made up as a super king. Sadly the mattress protector, base sheet and duvet cover were all too small.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Numerous walks from the door, friendly pub serving good food nearby and a pleasant walk to the busy market town of Keswick. Spacious, comfortable accommodation. Will definitely book again!

The cottage provided us with a very good base for a holiday in the North Lakes.

Really enjoyed our time, central location in easy reach of the Lakes, even if you have not got a car. The local people were very helpful, and the Royal Oak provides a good selection of food. The only downside was the poorly maintained back yard, the cottage however was above expectations.
