A cosy cottage big enough for two, in a lovely quiet location

The cottage was absolutely lovely. Very cute and beautifully decorated. Good location for the pub (which was great for dinners) and easy driving access to lots of other places. The only slight negative was that the cottage was very cold in the evenings. With better heating this place would be absolutely perfect!

A little drive to the nearby lakes but compensated by the lovely views on the way. Local pub is really welcoming and great beer. Walks around the area are so peaceful. One weekend is not enough time!! Can't wait to return

A lovely quaint cottage. Even smaller than we were expecting soon got used to it though. Fortunately brought a load of towels for the dog with us as the weather was horrendous & nowhere outside to wash him before going into the cottage.

We had a lovely week at Cragg Cottage. We found it to be very homely and enjoyed the home comforts that it offered.

Pleasant and cosy cottage, ideally located to explore the lakes and surrounding area. Cottage a little dark inside but although compact well equipped. Slight negatives was the lack of internet and noise of the neighbour heating/boiler cranking into action during the night. Positives was the open fire, lovely location with decent pub around the corner and general cosiness of the place.

Response on behalf if the owner; Thank you for your comment. It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed your stay at Cragg Cottage, I would like to advise we have had an engineer to improve the Wifi signal. The Wifi signal is now much stronger in Cragg Cottage and should no longer be an issue.

The overall experience was great, but there were two minor inconveniences, the first was the inability to connect ti Wi Fi, and the other was some implement in the adjoining property (probably a boiler)cutting in and out during the night. Other than that we had a lovely week.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner. Thank you for the above comments. I am glad you enjoyed your stay at Cragg Cottage. The boiler noise which you heard early morning is actually in Cragg Cottage in the loft space not the adjoining property. It is an immersion heater which works by a time switch on Economy 7. This can be switched off in a cupboard downstairs and put on whenever water is needed and at a convenient time for yourselves. The shower is electric so water is only needed for washing up etc. I would like to thank you for bringing this to my attention. I am always available for any queries or problems,I just wish you had asked me about this during your stay.
