Nice house but lacking a bit in kitchen equipment, with only one small chopping board and no decent knives amongst other things, also, a lot of the crockery was dirty and needed washing before use. There were very few books and games and nothing suitable for children. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, though storage space limited. The pool was enjoyed by all. We has a few issues with heating though the owner was quick to try and resolve them.

We had a brilliant time despite the weather. We loved the welcome of wine and biscuits, tea etc . The only two main disappointments were one the availability of the wifi which we had thought would be available throughout the house and wasn't and the fact that there was not a shower facility that was usable safely for a partly disabled person. I know there was a shower in the swimming pool but this was not easily accessible for the person concerned.

As a family of 10, this barn was ideal for us. We all had a wonderful time. The barns situation is rural but only 5 minutes drive away from shops ( but it feels very secluded). The barn was very well equipped and met our needs. Having the pool made it even more special.

Myself and a group of 9 book an annual cottage getaway and so far Clamp Farm Barn has been the worst in terms of value for money, friendliness from the owner and equipment. As we had booked go karting around lunchtime and we had barbecue meat with us (rest of the food was getting delivered), I contacted the owner a few days before arrival, Ken, asking if one person in the group could pop in to drop the meat as the cottage was on the way to the go karting place and we didn't want to leave the meat in our car for 5 hours. He hesitantly wouldn't give a simple yes or no answer replying that the cleaners have 5 hours to clean 6 bedrooms and if someone is free then we can, I had to firmly say I need a simple yes or no answer so I don't turn up and get turned away, wasting my time and the food then finally he said yes. During our stay we noticed a shortage of quite a few basic supplies which you would normally think a cottage would provide, especially where the cheaper ones we stayed in before have had more than enough of these basics, a few to mention: fairy washing up liquid (was less than a quarter), 4 dishwasher tablets, toilet roll, kitchen roll, hand wash. We actually ran out of some of these supplies and upon contacting Ken he said we need to supply our own! Luckily there was a tesco's nearby which we had to go to twice to collect things. Also, Saturday night we had a party at the cottage and at 10:30pm received a text from Ken saying to turn down the music as kids our nearby. I can understand where he is coming from but believe the owner shod know that groups book cottages as a getaway to enjoy themselves and exceptions should be made at times, if we did it every night that we were there then fair enough but we only did it the once and felt this ruined our break as we couldn't enjoy ourselves! All in all the cottage itself is beautiful, stay here if you don't mind spending a lot of money and literally bringing your whole house with you and making no noise, but I would not recommend this cottage at all!

Had an amazing time. Owner had left Wine and Biscuits and made us feel very welcome on arrival. Very clean and well maintained. Plenty of room for 12 people and kitchen well equipped to cover same. Pool area was superb and enjoyed by all the family. Garden to rear very spacious and enclosed for children to play and front garden beautifully maintained. Enjoyed so much we have already booked again for next year.
