The cottage felt like home from home. Equipped to a high standard, it ensured that we were comfortable and could enjoy our stay. Although we had a problem with the shower, it was fixed promptly by the owner. We enjoyed the 'quirky' nature of the cottage and the friendliness of the locals.

The cottage was amazing, with all extras such as tea and coffee provided. we had a great time trying to light the fire with the very useful guidance. the bedrooms were amazingly clean and modern which made for a great night sleep. we went to Yat Rock and had a wonder around one of their trails and it was lovely.

We really enjoyed our stay. In the cottage everything had been thought about and was very clean and homely. The location was perfect for us, central for the Wye valley next to the river with some great walks and 3 pubs and shop close by. The most memorable part of the stay was how friendly the people are, we will certainly be returning.

We had a most enjoyable stay in Bridge cottage sight seeing, lots to see in the area, walking, when the weather permitted and we had the energy, and catching up with old friends. The Boat pub next door did good food, beer, cider and wine and the people were very friendly. The only draw back was the seemingly long approach by a single track road with few passing places which we risked only twice, when we arrived to unpack and to re-pack before we left! The rest of the time we parked the other side of the river and used the foot bridge.

A beautiful spacious cottage in an idyllic setting. It felt like we were getting away from it all without being too isolated. Well equipped and clean. I have recommended it to a friend.

Location was lovely and exciting approaching via the disused railway bridge from Redbrook. Parking wasn't a problem really, although making sure a valid parking ticket was displayed by 8am every morning was a pain. Cottage felt a little tired in places e.g. Shower cubicle but what let in down for us was the lack of cleaning in the bathroom and especially the kitchen and main bedroom - mould on utensils and pans and also chipped crockery. On arrival the fridge wasn't even turned on - which was very annoying and from reading others comments in the visitors book, there were mentions of a welcome pack - of which there was nothing... we didn't feel very welcomed! We live in the countryside and in an old property so understand the issues - cleaning and upkeep of these properties is therefore very important. There were rodents present :(

Response on behalf of the owner: We were disappointed with this review, which is out of step with other comments that we have received in respect of Bridge Cottage. We do our best to deal with any problems as soon as they are brought to our notice and to ensure that the cottage is presented in a welcoming condition and to a standard that we would expect ourselves. The contact details for ourselves and our cleaner are in the cottage and we encourage guests to contact us as soon as any problem is discovered so that it can be resolved quickly.

A lovely cottage situated right on the River Wye and great location for visiting Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. We took our little dog and slate floors downstairs were easy to clean although thankfully weather was great so no muddy paws! Well equipped cottage with pub next door and village shop over the bridge, so convenient local amenities and lovely walks from front door. We were able to park in a layby near the cottage, but an option of parking the other side of the river is available for people who do not like driving down single track lanes.
