This is a wonderful cottage in a stunning, peaceful location. Cosy, well equipped, cake and flowers on arrival and friendly owner. It's out of the way so be prepared to drive if you are sightseeing.

Brampton Hill Farm cottage gave us a totally relaxing, peaceful holiday. If you are looking for a remote location up beautiful, winding country lanes then this is perfect. The nearest local shop is about three or four miles away but driving seven miles into Hereford, there are both Tesco and Asda superstores(with petrol stations too). The house is located up a steep track, right next to the farm and the hosts are very friendly and approachable. We found the cottage to be extremely neat, clean and well-equipped. If you need to use wifi, then most of the time you have to leave the cottage and go into the courtyard to get connected as I assume the cottage shares the router with the main farm house.

If you are looking for a restful break away - this is the place for you. Well maintained, clean and comfy cottage, away from the stresses of everyday life. No phone, no wifi, no traffic (apart from the farmer/wife and workers). We were greeted with a home made cake, flowers in the kitchen and fresh eggs from the farm. A fantastic start to any break. The owners are friendly and helpful and give great advice on local things to see and do. They have a very friendly small dog, who loves to play catch with you. You look out over a field of cows, and the nearest light source is four fields away - great for star gazers. The only down side to staying there (if there is one), is that the cottage is quite a way from the nearest 'local' shop and pub, and the track from road to cottage is quite a bumpy one, so not ideal for those with wheelchairs/pushchairs or with mobility issues. Look out for the four bunnies - catch them if you can!

The cottage is large and very clean and comfortable. We were made to feel most welcome. It is in a fantastic rural setting. It is in a good location for driving to Hereford and to Hay on Wye which are both great places to visit. It is necessary to drive if you want to go to pubs or villages, so you need someone prepared to drive for evening outings.

Start with our only negative, it's a little and could do with some tickets through out from paint on walls to fixings in the bathroom. Other than that this cottage was fantastic, there was a lovely cake and pot of tea for our arrival. Was clean through out and comfortable, the owners left us to our devices however were there when we needed them, even showing us the best walk through the woods and public for tea. If you want a quiet family get away, then this definitely is the place. Countryside all around with a pub 5 miles or so away, Hereford approximately 20 minutes drive. I will definitely be back.

For a holiday property to satisfy a family at Christmas is remarkable; cottage, hosts and Herefordshire pleased all our three generations. Property is roomy and caters for five persons easily; countryside walks from the front door and stunning sunrise viewing. The host family at the farm could not have done more to make us welcome and comfortable. Easy driving to the city of Hereford, Hay-on-Wye and the Black Mountains.
