Set amid 101/2-acre grounds, complete with outdoor heated swimming pool and children’s play area, these three holiday properties adjoin one another and occupy a beautiful setting. Named after British apples, they have been imaginatively converted from former fruit barns. All the properties have a private garden or courtyard, whilst enjoying the freedom to roam the grounds and make the most of the shared facilities. Ideal for exploring South Devon with its stunning coastline, and resorts such as Dawlish and Teignmouth. Rugged Dartmoor is only a short drive, and many family attractions are within easy reach including Castle Drogo (NT), Fingle Bridge and Gorge and Canonteign Falls and Country Park. Within 10 miles of the old cathedral city of Exeter, with its many varied attractions including a race course, shopping, antique shops, guided tours and a host of summer festivals. Fishing on the River Teign, 3 miles. Golf 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin, both with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

    The overall opinion of the party was that the cottage was equipped extremely well and the bedrooms were very good. However, for six people the lounge was not big enough for everyone to be comfortable and the kitchen was extremely small. The biggest fault was the bathrooms, they need lots of work, mould should not be in evidence anywhere. with a little TLC it would be a great cottage.

    on entering the property everything was lovely and I had only one complaint from those sleeping upstairs, that being that the water pressure in the showers was very poor. however, the downstairs bedroom smelt quite badly of damp and mildew although none was in evidence. The bedding covers were lovely and clean but the duvet itself and pillows smelt unwashed and frankly I couldn't wait to come home and wouldn't have stuck the week if my children and grandchildren hadn't been enjoying themselves so much. The saving grace was the swimming pool which was kept clean and in good order. We couldn't use the BBQ as it was Private and there no decent walks from the property, just overgrown tracks where the dogs picked up ticks. The worse thing though was a rodent of some kind that on the first night ate a whole portion of our labradors food which was stored in bags in the cupboard. The owners remedy was to polyfill holes. The rodent set up a racket every night.

    Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. I can only apologise that your stay was not as good as you had hoped. The downstairs bedroom is never usually damp. I think this was because just before your visit the en-suite shower was leaking. We ordered a new shower immediately but had to wait a few days for the plumber to fix it. So water was dripping constantly till then. Bramley was last completely spring cleaned in May when I renewed or washed all pillows and duvets. We always aim for a very high level of cleaning. There are some very lovely walks from our property, out of the drive and to the left is a very quiet country lane and across the road is a bridle path that some of the locals use to walk their dogs. But we have 10 acres of paddocks that is available to use. Bramley, Discovery and Sunset are converted from cob apple barns that are 100's of years old and although full of character, mice can sometimes, although very rarely, get through the smallest of holes in the cob, which is why the correct way to treat this is to fill them in. I can only apologise again. We always try to fix things as soon as possible and appreciate guests letting us know if things are not 100 percent OK. Our main aim is for everyone to have a wonderful stay with us.
