We stayed for a few nights following a family wedding at Banchory. Enjoyed the cottage very much despite having snow when we arrived . Did not get to see as much of the surrounding area due to snow, but it was very pretty. Lovely to have a cosy log fire - the house had good facilities.

Beautiful location. The house was quiet, warm and clean. Furniture comfortable. A few improvements would be helpful eg replacing worn-out non-stick pans and providing a reasonable amount of lavatory paper (previous guests had complained about this). But we would certainly stay there again.

A lovely cottage in a quiet location but still within a few minutes of all your amenities.. weather could have been better but hey it was October and I guess you don't go for the weather!

Apart from being slightly more rural than expected, the cottage was perfectly located for the places we wanted to visit during our fortnight's stay. The cottage had everything we needed and was really comfortable. We loved having a roaring log fire in the evenings. The garden was great & secure for our dog. Having the conservatory was fabulous. The only downside, which was manageable, was limited hot water to the bath and the shower wasn't very powerful. Otherwise, can totally recommend it.

The cottage is ideally located in terms of touring the area and it was very peaceful and quiet. I had to clean the cooker and cooking utensils (and pans) on arrival but upstairs the bathrooms and bedding were very clean indeed. We did not need heating of any kind - did not use the coal fire and were out all day. The oven door and dishwasher need repair but were still functional. We enjoyed our stay very much indeed. Property owners should check for wasps and birds nests on the outside of the building. We were not able to enjoy the garden due the wasps.
