Just the basics no wellcome pack. Beds low and hard. Best bit was conservatory. Owner very nice. Only part toilet rolls had to buy. No hand soap. Washing liquid space. Refuse bin away from cottage yet next door had one one site

Bramble Cottage was an ideal base for us to visit all the places we wanted to go. It was warm and comfortable and perfect for our needs. It was well equipped and the times when we wanted to prepare and cook a meal, everything we needed was there and simple to use.

The location of this cottage is fantastic, as within an hour you can be at the beach or up a mountain! A bonus for us was that the garden was completely secure, so that we didn't have to take the dog out for a wee, we could open the door and let her out. The cottage was generally nice, and mostly clean but would suggest that it is a 3 star not as stated a 4 star. It was nice to be met by the owner, but I did miss a pint of milk in the fridge. In other 4 star cottages that I have visited previously there has been a pint of milk in the fridge, and a local delicacy (what about Dundee cake?), although saying this there was a vase of almost dead flowers! The guides were also not current, but I brought some back from the local tourist office, for the next visitors. My favourite place to sit was the conservatory, and at dusk you could watch the bats. This cottage is semi-detached so not lonely as you have neighbours, but shops and amenities are not within walking distance, although nearby villages of Alyth and Meigle have shops. If you are taking a dog to this area I would suggest you get in touch with dog friendly Perthshire on Facebook, as their advice of places to go was invaluable.

I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone who wishes to have a relaxing holiday with Lots to do and visit in the Area . we were unlucky in the weather but still enjoyed ourselves in the cottage when it rained as it was so pleasant . The cane chairs in the Conservatory need recovering but considering Clients bring their dogs it was very Clean . Our Lab enjoyed mooching around the garden which is enclosed by hedges and Fence. Will probably stay again as we have family nearby .
