This has been our fourth time at Bram Cragg Barn - and we've just booked for our fifth trip there next year. The barn is by far the best self catering property we've ever stayed in. The bedrooms - and especially the en-suites - are excellent, the main lounge / dining area is lovely with fantastic views, and the garden area has the best set-up for a barbecue we've ever seen. Added to that the owners are friendly and helpful, without being in any way intrusive, the loacation is wonderful - just a short drive from Keswick yet set in a very quiet area right amongst the major Lake District fells. Its pretty much perfect!

Excellent accommodation out in the countryside 5 miles to Keswick for shops & groceries. We were so comfortable there we went out in the day for fells & attractions & stayed in at night. We would to return, as we went in October it was a little cool at night so we couldn't sit out in the garden. A patio heater would be a good addition.

Beautifully appointed, well equipped, first class accommodation. Our party of six adults and dog enjoyed our stay at Bram Cragg - brilliant location, unfortunately road still closed to Thirlmere but it didn't stop us getting out and about! Owners were welcoming, nearby, helpful but unobtrusive. We would recommend highly to anyone looking for a high quality cottage in the area. Thank you

This is one of the best holiday places we have stayed in. The owners are so friendly and helpful, but not obtrusive. The barn is a beautiful place to stay and the provision of extras is so thoughtful. The location is quiet and absolutely stunning. We had snow and it was magical.

Our 2nd stay at Bram Cragg and it was all we thought it would be, outstanding. We had also booked the two chalets and they were beautiful. Nothing negative to say at all.

We had a fabulous holiday at Bram Cragg Barn. The barn itself was extremely modern, well-equipped and absolutely spotless, with lots of lovely finishing touches. Owners were friendly and helpful and we adored their gorgeous dogs, Fly and Gem! The location in the valley was spectacular with amazing views. Loved having the farm animals (cows and sheep) grazing outside the door. My children also thoroughly enjoyed the little park/playground within the vicinity. Great location for exploring the lakes with lots of fells to climb on the doorstep! The only criticism that I have is that there are two holiday lodges which are directly opposite the enclosed garden. Whilst this didn't cause us any problems in terms of noise, other than vehicles passing to and fro to get their accommodation, it did slightly taint the gorgeous view from the garden. Overall, I would throroughly recommend the barn and hope to definitely return in the future.
