We loved the cottage it had everything we needed and more the only let down was the tiny outdoor space at the rear of the house. The only thing that we that might prevent us from returning was the lack of good places to eat in the surrounding area, but that's not your fault.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful village. If you want a taste of true Northumberland then stay here. Everything is thought of within the cottage. The outlook onto the green is charming. The pub next door is being renovated by a delightful couple, and has an enticing and spectacular assortment of gins. Be prepared to lose an evening there! Everyone we met was lovely. Can't speak more highly.

Lovely, cosy cottage in a lovely village that suited our needs for a quiet New Year perfectly. Next door to the very friendly pub, which has just re-opened but wasn't noisy at all. There are no other amenities in the village, but a good shop is only 5 miles away in Otterburn. Nearest cashpoint is 20 miles away, so be prepared if you intend to spend time in the pub! Great walks on the doorstep. Would definitely stay there again.

Cottage very well equipped, very warm and cosy but is quite dark in dining room with no overhead lights. One thing not mentioned in description is that the bathroom is down a steepish wooden staircase and then at the back of the cottage, not so convenient in the night! The pub next door was closed but hopes to reopen before Christmas. The well known cafe a few hundred yards away was brilliant, try it and see.

A very comfortable and cosy cottage in an amazing location. Lots of great walks, castles and Roman sites to explore.

Response on behalf of the owner; I am pleased to be able to say the pub has now re-opened for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
