Very comfortable cottage in a great rural location, just a mile out from Balloch - an ideal place from which to explore Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

A lovely cottage which was the cleanest we have ever stayed in. It was very well and thoughtfully equipped with heating easily available when necessary. It was set in peaceful surroundings but nearby Balloch was only a mile away with lots of eating places and shops. The rooms were all large and the kitchen had fridge, freezer, washing machine and an easy to use electric cooker. The only small negative point was the type of seating in the lounge, basically rattan sofa and chairs more suited to a conservatory. More comfortable seating would have been appreciated. Blairhosh was well situated for exploring Scotland.

A simply furnished, well priced cottage with all the basics you could need. There was lots of information leaflets available on things to do in the local area. We wanted to stay in a cottage so that in the evenings we could put the children to bed and relax together. We would not have booked this cottage had we known that the second bedroom was up a few steps from the living room with only a curtain separating the two. Relaxing in the living room catching up on the days Olympics with a glass of wine after the kids had gone to bed was, rather disappointingly, out of the question. The garden area was very well maintained, complete with nice table and chairs. It was good that washing line and pegs were provided. As an alternative the tumble dryer was excellent. The tennis court would have been a nice bonus but is in desperate need of maintenance to remove the weeds and moss from the surface. We were surprised that we had to search for the cottage information folder, it was hidden away in a drawer. We felt there needed to be more specific detail about what materials could be recycled in the bins or locally. It was the cottage's location and superb weather (glorious sunshine!) that made it a memorable holiday.
