The owners are superb and are on hand with any questions and queries. You could not be in a better position if you want beautiful scenery and peace and quiet; it was wonderful waking up every morning and seeing the cows! The little ones kept us amused for ages:) The house is very well equipped, you could not ask for anything more. There are lots of nice pubs and restaurants in the area, and it is a good base for either side of the forth bridge. Edinburgh is a must to visit, very vibrant. Order your tickets on line, as the queues are horrendous, and make sure you wear comfortable shoes! We loved our holiday, and will certainly go back.

The photo of the outside of the cottage is a bit off-putting but once you get inside it is a lovely spacious house, well modernised, with excellent, well equipped kitchen, 2 lovely bathrooms, all bedrooms large but the main upstairs one particularly so, with absolutely amazing view and a sitting area with comfy seats. We all fought to have that bedroom! Cottage lovely and warm and absolutely stunning views from all windows - could not believe we could see all 3 bridges including famous railway bridge plus all of the Edinburgh skyline and hills beyond from our armchairs! Mr and Mrs Kerr could not have been friendlier or more helpful - very warm welcome and there for advice when we needed it. Fascinating to stay on a working farm.

An excellent stay, the cottage was well equipped, beds comfortable, scenery awesome. The cottage is a bit of a hike from the village and any shops or pubs, so you need a car, or the will for a good walk. We loved being on a working farm, waking up to a field of cows in front of us and views of the Firth of Forth beyond them. A trip to Inchcolm island is highly recommended if you stay, we went with Forth Tours which was excellent. Aberdour and its castle will keep you busy for a day, more if you like beach days. Edinburgh was only 30 mins by train, we would definitely go when the Fringe is on again, the city was vibrant at this time - just be prepared for standing room only on the trains! If we could add one thing it would be WiFi, sometimes the 3G was patchy, so be prepared to be a little cut off at times!
