Description

Atlantic House is an amazing property with a private hot tub and glorious uninterrupted sea views which can be enjoyed from around this location.

Glorious uninterrupted sea views abound from this breathtaking location, one of Hartland’s most stunning spots. Atlantic House is a delightful, spacious, detached property, set amidst the owner’s 17th-century working farm at Blegberry. Beautifully converted from a former barn, this stunning property retains plenty of character with beams, stone walls and feature floors and is presented to a very high standard. The large, superb open plan kitchen/dining/living room takes up the main wing of the property and makes for the perfect gathering of family and friends to enjoy time together whilst taking full advantage of the views. Outside, the sunny patio is the ideal spot to relax watching the waves and spectacular sunsets. The property also has a large courtyard garden, ideal for al fresco dining, and the raised decked area and hot tub add the finishing touches for a holiday to remember. A delightful welcome pack awaits you on your arrival with complimentary beer, prosecco and an array of scrumptious goodies.
The magnificent rugged English Heritage coastline of Hartland and beyond runs across the farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering a perfect haven for walking and bird watching or just to get away from the hustle of every day life. From your doorstep, meander down the track and through the corn field to the secluded Berry Beach. With its sandy gullies and shingle beach, you can while away the days here, rock pooling, boogie boarding, fishing or just relaxing with a good book. There are many circular walks through leafy green lanes, ancient woodland footpaths, bridleways and the South West Coastal Path, taking in sights such as Hartland Point Lighthouse, Damehole Point. where the final scene of the film ’King Arthur’ was shot starring Kiera Knightley and Clive Owen, Berry Head and Blackpool Mill, where much of the BBC series ’Sense and Sensibility’ was filmed. A 40-minute walk from Blegberry along the coast path will take you to Hartland Quay, with its Maritime Museum, gift shop and pub, family friendly beach and breathtaking views. Why not enjoy a traditional pub lunch and a pint and then meander your way back through the beautiful ancient abbey woods.
Children will love the pets corner on the farm, come and meet Hank the donkey a favourite with visitors to Blegberry. There is also a large playing field, and everyone will have fun in the indoor play barn complete with skittle alley, table tennis and pool table, as well as a play area for the little ones. The famous sandy surfing beaches of Westward Ho! and Bude are an easy drive and for family fun, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are close by. There are numerous National Trust properties in the area, as well as the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. Clovelly, with its quaint cobbled streets and picturesque harbour, is a must. The village of Hartland is just 3 miles and has a good selection of village shops and pubs, all serving local produce. The historic port of Bideford, with its lively market, as well as the Lundy Island ferry and array of shops and other amenities, is just 15 miles. Golf, fishing, sailing, surfing and horse riding available locally. Shops 3 miles, pub 2 miles.

Absolutely fantastic christmas holiday and Atlantic House and its location made it. Welocomr package on arrival was just one of the many small and lovely touches. Walked to the local pubs most days sometimes via the coastal walk, breathtaking views from the house and surrounding. Lovely owners that couldn't do enough for us, free wood for fire, hot tub maintained every day, great games room. Couldn't fault Atlantic House and the owners and shall be visiting again.

We stayed at Atlantic House for a girls weekend away. It is in an idyllic location, and has some beautiful walks down to the sea. Be aware the walk to the pub is on a cliff-edge path so not suitable for nighttime! The house layout lends itself to a social gathering, and the bedrooms are well located at the other end of the house. Due to its beautiful location, amenities are quite a distance, so make sure you take shopping with you, or have it delivered as we did. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend, would be suitable for a friends or family gathering.

Excellent place to large group, clean, well equipped and plenty of facilities. special touches include hot tub, separate play area and play equipment for children, access to animals for children, and special touches like a play station, and a small selection of children toys. Nice welcome to see beer and bubbly in fridge for arriving guests. It is remote, access roads are very narrow, and it takes a while to drive to anywhere, but if its remote you want, this is it. Local beach is walkable, be aware though its a challenge for little ones and is basically rocks and stones. Reflecting Hartlands rocky cliff top coast! We had a big electrical storm first night which took out the electricity until 11am the following morning - didn't know when it would come back, and no back up as everything is electric. No emergency numbers provided to call (tip... call 105 for electric emergency!!!). Couldn't do much and by then after a Tesco delivery had £300 worth of food in the fridge and freezer going off. So overall, very nice, but expensive given remoteness for local amenities..... but a stunning venue and location nonetheless.

Me and my girlfriends had the best relaxing weekend here. A really beautiful socialable home. The hot tub was a bonus. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, but totally left us alone. Beautiful location, but really is remote. Beautiful walks.

Our yearly family holiday was in Atlantic House. A fabulous barn conversion. Extremely comfortable and well equipped. The only slight problem was the garden area not being gated, so our dogs kept running off to see the chickens and sheep! The patio area is very secure and the hit tub was a great hit.
