We've stayed in many Holiday Cottages over the years so we know what to expect! This cottage is highly rated which was one of the deciding factors of booking it, yet we feel it does not fulfill these ratings! Very disappointing! We had missing kitchen equipment, one small bath towel, hand towel and flannel for each guest, the open fire was unusable as smoke filled the house setting the fire alarms off - although this was commented on 6-8 weeks prior to our visit as a problem, but still not solved. The second double room is small, hope no visitor with long legs has to be subjected to the bed! Also although we never saw anyone to check if we were okay (probably because of the fire) we sensed that each time we left the cottage and returned someone had been around the property which left an uncomfortable feeling. On the plus side the location is lovely and great for access to Oban.

A beautiful setting near enough to Oban and well placed for other adventures.

We had an amazing week at Ardbhan Croft. Lovely cottage, plenty of room and beautiful outlook. It's a bit of a walk to the centre which you'd need to bear in mind but it was so good we booked to go back when we got home!

A wonderfully equipped cottage in a glorious location. We were there for Christmas and were incredibly lucky with the weather - sunny most days. The only slight downside was that it was a long walk to any shops, pubs or restaurants; in fact we drove to save time. But overall - one of the best cottages we have stayed in.
