Delightful ownership couple. Exceptionally amicable and considerate. Cottage is in fact a wood cabin attached to the main house, but with its own separate small garden. The back gate leads directly on to the coastal path from which it's a short walk down to the beach below. Location ideal for pets and humans alike!! Only downside is bathroom / bedroom slightly cramped.

The cosy and comfortable chalet is set in a lovely garden which is great for evening BBQs or just relaxing. The warm welcome and "goodies" were much appreciated. The owners were on hand for anything that was needed but were not intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even the terrific thunderstorm of Tuesday night /Wednesday morning!

On the whole Apple tree cottage was comfortable, the garden was lovely except when your patio doors are open and the owners come out of their patio doors they look straight into the lounge of the cottage, so there's no privacy. The wardrobe is tiny, and when your coming for the week there isn't really enough storage, in the bedroom. The worst thing of all for us was having no oven, just a microwave. There was also a lack of pans ect. for use on the hob. There is plenty of room in the cottage for an oven. As we didn't have an oven we were forced to eat out, which is ok but would have been nice to have the choice. There also is no way of drying any clothes, not even a free standing clothes airier. So if you've been to the beach, there's no where to hang towels or swimwear, ended up hanging them over the fence. The cottage wasn't very clean, old food crumbs in salad box in the bottom of the fridge. Stains and old drips on kitchen cupboards. Washbasin and toilet not clean. For a privately owned tiny chalet, l was shocked by the cleanliness it.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments, unfortunately we were not aware of any problems during your stay. Had we been aware we would have done all we could to address them. The bedroom wardrobe is small, but there is a large cupboard in the living/kitchen area that can be used for additional storage. The microwave does have a grill. We will add some extra pans for use on the hob. We will ensure there is a clothes dryer in the cottage for future guests. In respect to cleanliness we were surprised to read the comment, we can only apologise as we do normally maintain very high standards of cleanliness, once again had we been aware we would have taken effective action to address it. Thank you again for your comments.

Small but cosy accommodation with very nice owners. Great location for walking along cliff top or the beach path, into Sandown and Shanklin. Dog loved it, handy with the park a few yards away. Glass shelf over bathroom sink needs to be removed as you can't clean teeth or shave properly, but that was the only problem.
