This cottage provides a good base from which to explore the island. It is very comfortable and well-equipped, with a lovely garden. The kitchen & bathroom are decorated really nicely, however the hall stairs & garden steps are not suitable for someone who is not sure-footed (although this is mentioned in the cottage details). We found the proximity of the cottage to the road quite noisey, especially at harvest time with lots of tractors and lorries going by. However, this is a really nice cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed staying at Apple Tree Cottage, it was very cosy, the garden was wonderful, everything that we could possibly need was provided, the kitchen was out of this world. The only negatives were the step stairs but we knew about them, and the lack of hooks in the second bedroom on which to hang our clothes since there was no wardrobe, but we knew about this also. We loved watching all the wildlife in the garden from the robins to the voles. We must have liked the cottage since this is the second year running that we have stayed here on the Island
