This is the third time we have stayed here and its perfect for what we want. its comfortable for our needs. We were aware that there is no garden but wasn't a problem for our dog. Location is perfect, park is a 5 minute walk and well worth a visit, and the spar shop next door but one is ideal. Having allocated parking is important otherwise its a nightmare.

The cottage is comfortable, clean and well equipped. We would certainly consider staying there again. It is centrally located and fortunately has a parking space nearby because parking is at a premium in that area. The problem, which could be solved, is the small step down from the living room into the kitchen. The cottage is dog friendly, similar to Keswick itself.

A brilliant base being right in the centre of Keswick with a parking place a few yards away and a well stocked spa shop next door. Street directly outside can be noisy though, even late at night. It seems to be a short cut for everyone, and traffic often backs up because it is very narrow. We didn't find it the warmest of cottages despite the central heating, but there is plentiful hot water. The bed has to be one of the most uncomfortable and creaky we've slept on - you can feel the metal springs. TV reception is very poor and we could not get any BBC channels at all. This has been mentioned before and we were assured that this had been addressed so it was disappointing especially as the nights are longer just now. We may have enjoyed it better in the summer although there is no outside space at the cottage.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comment and we hope you enjoyed your holiday with us. Since your stay we have had a new television aerial installed on the roof.

well positioned wee cottage with car parking. However TV was dire, no reception for most of our holiday and very intermittent wifi. Since we were there the weekend of the bad flooding, having no means of communication was not good. What did annoy me was that the TV coverage had been mentioned several times in the visitor book and obviously ignored. Nice cottage spoiled by the lack of care to modern facilities. We were not flooded so the cottage was a safe haven, just a bit of a black hole with regards to urgent communications.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Firstly we are glad that you remained dry during the storms. We are sorry you experienced problems with the television reception. As you can imagine during storm Desmond numerous services were disrupted and the free view status report from that weekend confirms that there was no service whatsoever. This is taken directly from their website: "Keswick and Threlkeld are relays fed via Bassenthwaite. Bassenthwaite has no mains electricity, and it is not possible to access the site with a generator due to flooding. The service will be restored as soon as its possible to restore the electricity supply." We do take our guests comments seriously and will investigate if there is anything we can do to improve television reception. We hope to welcome you back!

Cosy 2 bed terraced cottage in middle of Keswick close to all the amenities and good walks. The only downside is that the shower could benefit from upgrading.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments, we have since replaced the shower head, hose and holder.
