This house is in a fantastic location and has a stunning view. Agay has a lovely beach and some very nice restaurants. It is also within easy reach of Nice, Cannes, St Tropez, etc. A car is essential unless you fancy a 30 minute walk up and down the hill every day. The surrounding neighbourhood is extremely quiet and peaceful. HOWEVER - it is filthy! When we arrived, the bathroom floor was dirty, there was muck all over the heaters that just need a good scrub, the curtains were grubby, there was a musty smell in the far bedroom and toilet, and ten times worse, the sheets hadn't been changed. There was even a bloodstain on one of the beds. We ended up pulling the sofabed out to sleep on that, but it wasn't much cleaner. The pillows just need chucked out and replaced, there's barely anything left of them. The fact that you pay an 80 euro cleaning charge makes it even more sickening. I have since complained, but received no response to my complaint. In addition, come prepared. Bring your own towels means also bring your own hand towel and bath mat. No bin liners, no soap, a tiny amount of washing up liquid, half a roll of toilet paper.. it's all you get. Bizarre inconveniences such as there are lots of plates, but only one bowl. The pool is lovely - very very deep, and the diving board again is a bit grubby. Beautiful view and a lot of outside furniture - although some of it also could do with replacing (rips in deckchairs etc.) The pool could do with a cover though, seeing as we were often fishing things out in the morning - on one occasion a dead mouse! There seems to be an infestation of ants on the terrace, but to be honest they didn't bother us as long as you kept the kitchen door closed and didn't leave food out. It is such as shame as this place has so much potential but is just not looked after. We would not stay here again, as the only redeeming feature was the location. The owners need to take a good look at their manager/cleaning company if they wish to continue in business. I would not recommend.

Beautiful view and nice pool. Bathroom was filthy especially the shower it was disgusting we had to give it good scrub! Rubbish in wardrobes. Very dirty floors in bathroom and bedrooms. Hair bobbles around the pool. Very dangerous leak under the sink which got onto electrics! Chipped crockery and glasses. it did not ruin holiday but when you pay all that money for it to be cleaned you expect it to be spotless. We told the rep who collected the money and she just said "oh it's old" rather than sorry. We want to return but it has to be better. First time paid for cleaner rather clean myself in other villas.

arrived at about 8pm after the shops had closed to find half a toilet roll to share amongst our party. A lot of the pots and pans we not clean enough to use and the kitchen floor was dirty. Don't leave the bins out because the wild boars will empty them all over the road. Ensure you are around for the housekeeper when she tells you to be there otherwise she will sit around for a couple of hours waiting for you and charge you for her time ! The property needs updating and bringing into the 21st century. The one saving grace is the stunning views and the great pool.
