Most comfortable and clean. The owners, who live a few doors away, were most helpful. When we had a problem with the central heating they insisted on getting the engineer in straight away, despite it being Sunday morning and we had said we were happy to wait until Monday. The stove in the lounge gave out more than enough heat to keep the property warm. We were concerned about roadside parking before we got there but had no problems all the week, being able to park directly outside everyday. There was plenty of places to visit in the area. If you want to see Red Kites this is the place to be.

Property was lovely, and the owners welcoming and friendly. Small but perfectly formed inside with everything you would need, would definitely stay again. Only minor issue is parking, as this is shared on the side of road, but you can always park on the grass as long as you don't get annoyed by notes on your windscreen.

We had a great week staying at The Old Bakery in Wendover. The property is presented and maintained to a high standard, being exceptionally clean, warm and very welcoming for a January visit. Location was perfect for visiting friends, trains into London and beautiful country walks. We had no problem parking. All-in-all,highly recommended. Thanks to the owners for a lovely stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Bakery which combines modern facilities with lots of authentic period charm. The cottage is close to a busy road, but was still very quiet and we were always able to park outside in the layby. The accomodation was warm, clean and comfortable and we enjoyed being able to walk down to the village centre which has a good variety of shops and eateries. I wish I had known beforehand that there is access to Wifi for BT customers if you set up BT Fon in advance as the lack of internet access was a bit of a nuisance. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient base. We would definitely book there again. The only improvement I can suggest would be the provision of a dishwasher.

This was a lovely cottage in a great location for visiting the surrounding attractions and places of interest. Close to local amenities, good eating places and supermarket. Charming and comfortably furnished with those nice little touches that mean so much - milk in the fridge etc. Wifi would have been nice.

Great place to stay to explore the surrounding area. We also caught the train into London on one of our days at Wendover which was very easy as the station is walking distance from the cottage.

It is a lovely little cottage in an ideal location for visiting local towns and attractions. Going for a day trip to London by train is cheap and convenient. This was our second visit to the Old Bakery - enough said.

Well placed to explore the Chilterns, this is a cosy, well-equipped holiday cottage. Spotlessly clean, it has been modernised sympathetically by the owners, and retains a great deal of character. Our only quibble was with the ceiling lights in the lounge and kitchen, which we found a bit harsh. In all other respects it suited us perfectly.
