Description

Scandinavian style lodge in secluded setting, with panoramic views across the Menai Straits, boat trips to Puffin Island nearby.

It has a large garden and visitors may enjoy sightings of many species of seabirds, porpoises and even the occasional seal. Beaumaris (2 miles), a World Heritage Site, is Anglesey’s most attractive town; it has a castle, boat trips to Puffin Island, water sports facilities, shops, restaurants and an excellent inn, Ye Olde Bull’s Head (Good Food Guide and Egon Ronay’s Guide) is only yards from Beaumaris Castle. Cottage lovely. But directions to cottage very very poor. Took us nearly an hour to find cottage.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. We are sorry that you had difficulty finding the property. One of the attractions of the Beach House is its secluded and peaceful location, so it is a bit off the beaten track, although only about 2 miles from Beaumaris which has many excellent shops and restaurants. Most Sat navs do take you to within a few hundred yards of the cottage and then it is just a case of following the single track lane to the very end. Our local agent, and ourselves as owners, are always very happy to direct guests to the property by phone, but we will also check to see whether the directions are as clear as they can be. We are pleased that you have considered the property a lovely cottage.

Although The beach house is very basic and could be updated the view makes up for it , we took our dog with us which was ideal for her. It was our second time there & would go again.

This was our third visit to the beach house as always never disappointed with the stunning views that change so quickly and the stillness is unforgettable Our only disappointment was the outside table and chairs were not there for us to use

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are so pleased that you have enjoyed your third visit to The Beach House. We are sorry that you missed the outdoor table and chairs. Unfortunately, these were recently damaged by the high winds, but new ones are on order and will be in place early in the New Year. Thank you for your comments and we look forward to seeing you at The Beach House again soon.

Without doubt the most tranquil and peaceful location we have stayed. Five star rating is for the location not the accommodation.

Just returned from the most wonderful week at the beach house. We arrived in a tow truck after a horendous journey and were greeted by the owners who were staying at Blue Sails next door. They were concerned and attentive and immediately made my husband and I a cup of tea, put lamps and the little fire on to make the cabin cosy and inviting and quickly left us to settle in. The cabin was everything that we hoped for; clean, comfortable, everything in working order. After a lovely nights sleep we awoke to the most amazing view of snowdonia. The beach is literally the garden of this property and it is so quiet it feels as if it is a private beach. It would not suit everyone as it is pebbles and rocks but that didn't bother our little girls we just made sure they were in beach shoes. They loved collecting coloured pebbles, shells and fossils. We were so lucky with the weather and sat looking out across the sea we could have been anywhere in the world, hard to believe we were only three hours from home. The nearest town of Beaumaris is only a five minute car ride away. We did attempt to walk it one day but the beach is just so rocky we gave up and drove in future. You could walk it easily on the road I would imagine without children but I think it would take a good forty minutes. To me this is just the price you pay for the amazingly private location and I wouldn't have changed a thing.
