This single-storey Scandinavian-style pine lodge is set to the right of Blue Sails. It has a large garden and visitors may enjoy sightings of many species of seabirds, porpoises and even the occasional seal. Beaumaris (2 miles), a World Heritage Site, is Anglesey’s most attractive town; it has a castle, boat trips to Puffin Island, water sports facilities, shops, restaurants and an excellent inn, Ye Olde Bull’s Head (Good Food Guide and Egon Ronay’s Guide) is only yards from Beaumaris Castle. Just returned from the most wonderful week at the beach house. We arrived in a tow truck after a horendous journey and were greeted by the owners who were staying at Blue Sails next door. They were concerned and attentive and immediately made my husband and I a cup of tea, put lamps and the little fire on to make the cabin cosy and inviting and quickly left us to settle in. The cabin was everything that we hoped for; clean, comfortable, everything in working order. After a lovely nights sleep we awoke to the most amazing view of snowdonia. The beach is literally the garden of this property and it is so quiet it feels as if it is a private beach. It would not suit everyone as it is pebbles and rocks but that didn't bother our little girls we just made sure they were in beach shoes. They loved collecting coloured pebbles, shells and fossils. We were so lucky with the weather and sat looking out across the sea we could have been anywhere in the world, hard to believe we were only three hours from home. The nearest town of Beaumaris is only a five minute car ride away. We did attempt to walk it one day but the beach is just so rocky we gave up and drove in future. You could walk it easily on the road I would imagine without children but I think it would take a good forty minutes. To me this is just the price you pay for the amazingly private location and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

The beach house was comfortable and in a fantastic location. It would have benefited from a bit of a spruce up and a few new items of kitchen equipment e.g broken corkscrew and can opener. Overall it was ok. Would stay again

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. We have fully checked the kitchen equipment and replaced the cork screw. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are delighted that you would like to come to The Beach House again and look forward to your visit.

The Beach House is in a fabulous location, just 2 miles from Beaumaris but down a very quiet lane, really close to the beach (end of the garden) and great views across the Menai Strait and Snowdonia. The whole week was very peaceful and relaxing. We had some contact with the owner due to an issue with the bathroom water heater which was all very positive. In our experience, every holiday cottage does it differently in terms of providing welcome packs (tea/coffee etc for when you arrive) and cleaning equipment. This is not a criticism just useful for others to know - there wasn't much of either at the Beach House. Overall a great place and somewhere we'd be very happy to stay at again.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your positive comments. We do aim to leave tea and coffee as a welcome to guests on arrival and I am sorry that this seems to have been omitted on this occasion, but this has now been brought to the attention of our local agent. We are delighted that you enjoyed The Beach House so much.

I have visited this property on 3 different occasions and definitely plan to return again. The setting is fabulous if you require tranquillity and don't mind your own company. However, should you require company or shops etc. then Beaumaris is only a short distance away.
