Comfortable, light and modern barn conversion with wonderful views and friendly hosts. The main drawback for us was the long, very narrow and winding lane that had to be negotiated to reach the cottage. We didn't feel brave enough to tackle this after dark so were unable to go out in the evenings and it became dark not long after 4 pm! However, during the daytime this is a splendid area to explore with interesting towns like Chepstow and Monmouth to visit and all the scenic splendours of the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean.

This was a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. The owners very friendly and if you're looking to get away from everyone then this certainly was the place to go. Beautiful views from the cottage and lovely walks nearby though be prepared there was always a hill to climb to get any where.

Spring Cottage is delightful. Situated on its own in a large secluded garden next to a farmhouse, there are glorious views across the Wye Valley with glimpses of Avonmouth in the far distance, on the other side of the Severn Estuary. Our labrador, Max, thoroughly enjoyed the freedom in the garden as well as the friendship of the resident labrador, Bessie - who is lovely. We both found the cottage comfortable and warm with EVERYTHING you could ever need. As a centre for discovering the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean, it's perfect. The owners are knowledgable about the area - and also make some excellent jam and cake. We're already looking to rebook next year.
