Further along the coast is Dungeness, an isolated pebbly beach. Visit the uniquely beautiful garden of the former home of film director Derek Jarman, Prospect Cottage is filled with driftwood and sculptural plants.

Nice cottage of basic design but owner thoughtfully installed bathroom heater. Open fire is great and very easy to light. Toasted crumpets and chestnuts on it (it was Nov).

Fantastic location, and the cordoned off area of beach shared by the terrace is great for kids to make friends. A beautiful beach. Kitchen was well equipped though some crockery in the cupboard was unwashed. The loo hadn't been flushed. A washing machine would be nice but a laundrette isn't far away. We heard no noise from Pontins which we'd been worried about before we arrived. All in all, a great place and I can see why visitors return year after year.

Excellent beach, thoroughly enjoyed stopping there. Pity dogs not allowed on the beach outside the property but understand why. Dog friendly part of beach a few hundred yards either side

It was a very nice cottage and we had a wonderfull stay. The only thing to mention is the cleaningness at the arrival which could be better.
