I don't think the pictures do it any justice I felt like I had arrived at the wrong place going down the drive. I was shocked to find it being such a beautiful, well equipped and homely place. I loved being there, I felt at ease and everything is so well thought out, the beds so comfortable, the house so well equipped and clean, the garden amazing and the host John so very welcoming, friendly and kind. The welcome pack was so well thought out and delicious nothing wasted! Would love to go again hated leaving!

A beautiful house in a lovely area. We were charmed by the owner's gifts of cake, bread, butter and milk. All the equipment was perfect, including the gorgeous Rayburn cooker. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, the huge garden was a joy for the children. Would I return? Yes, tomorrow, if I could. I only have one tiny little bit of criticism, which was that the woodturner, though easy to light (and very helpfully made up prior to our arrival by the owner), didn't really put out any heat, which was a problem for the first two nights when the weather was a bit Arctic. Mercifully the temperature then rose by about six degrees and all was well. But this won't apply to people who don't take the house in January!
