Garden lovers should head towards the National Trust owned Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens, which once belonged to the writer Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicholson and is one of the most famous gardens in England achieving Grade I Status. Should you wish to shop, head over to McArthur Glen at Ashford, the designer discount outlet, where you cannot fail to bag a bargain.
Described as the ‘loveliest castle in the world’, Leeds Castle is nestled near the county town of Maidstone, where you can also enjoy open air concerts in the summer. Tunbridge Wells is half an hour’s drive away and offers Jazz on the Pantiles and many fine dining experience. One of the best cottages we have stayed in for comfort, the setting, the equipment and the warm and friendly welcome. 11 out of 10!

Lovely to get away from it all in this peaceful countryside setting. Pauline provided a generous welcome pack. High standard of furnishings, very comfortable bed. We only turned on the TV twice as we preferred watching the horses, chickens, rabbits and birds. Good base for visiting various surrounding attractions.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful area. Pauline and dogs were very welcoming. Very well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed watching the numerous birds on the feeder and the horses in the field. Lots of interesting walks and places to visit in this area.

This holiday cottage was one of the best we have ever stayed in. It is well laid out and equipped. The views from the rear decking of the horses and wildlife were very relaxing, and Paula the owner could not be more welcoming. The one downside was that the website stated there was fishing available in the lake. When we asked Paula about the fishing she showed us the lake, which was overgrown and we was informed by Paula there was no fish in it.

Wonderful break. Stayed in many cottages over the years and this has to be the best equipped with the finest of fittings. Even has sky+. We were well looked after by the owners and could not fault anything. On arrival there were 3 types of milk, eggs, bread, butter and jams as well as fruit. Would stay there again if we are ever in Kent.

The accommodation was excellent - very clean and everything you were likely to need was provided. The location was perfect for touring Kent and there were shops and eateries close by. Next time I visit Kent I will book the stables again.
