This cottage was absolutely amazing. It was very spacious (there were 12 of us) and no one was under each other's feet. There are plenty of rooms for everyone to go. The round table was amazing as we could all talk to each other. It had everything that we needed and we ate in every night (we stayed for one week). The garden was fantastic and my 5 year old son had fun in his paddling pool whilst we had a bar-b-q. Lucky we had the washing machine because we didn't bring many summer clothes and it was the best week of weather we have had all year - hot sun all week (we didn't wear our coats once). It is in walking distance of the harbour (great seafood) and shingle beach. The town is really pretty, colourful and clean. We celebrated a 40th birthday here hence it's the first time we have all been away as a family. Everyone liked it so much that we are now all discussing going back next year. I only gave 9 for cleanliness as it had very dusty clumps under our bed (only main room though) and dusty behind our television (my son watched a DVD in our room one evening) but this didn't ruin our holiday whatsoever. With the area (not the cottage) it would have been nice to have a closer big supermarket (shopping for 12 people and eating in all week -we only did two shopping trips as the supermarket was a bit far out) and my son wanted a sandy beach to build sand castles (hence we took out our two cars and found a sandy beach). It was a fantastic holiday thank you very much. Would definitely revisit this very beautiful cottage.

Wonderful property and location. As mentioned in other reviews certain items were needed in the kitchen for our party of 10. Once our cars were parked it was great to be within walking distance of the harbour and shops. The round dining table was fantastic for our party.

The accommodation for 9 people was outstanding: we appreciated the house's proximity to the town's numerous facilities & the coastal walks, while occupying a 'quiet corner' of town. The circular dining table & open kitchen area were much appreciated by our large group as was the attractive & private garden. We also appreciated the well appointed bedrooms (including TVs & hairdryers); the large fridge & the feeling of openness inside the house. The car parking was better than described! We felt it was a very welcoming gesture to find the table laid & a box of chocolates when we arrived. Some minor points for improvement: there were no cafetiere, scissors, kitchen tongs or a colander - or spare light bulbs - which we would have expected as normal. More importantly we could find no instructions for the central heating (which we wanted to turn off!) OR recycling rubbish (how & when collected) nor was there much useful information about the local area & places to visit. That having been said, we all felt that Magnolia Cottage offered superb facilities & was exceptionally good value for money.

Lovely cottage, perfect for our family of 9 to celebrate an 80th birthday. Location perfect with a short stroll taking you straight to the town. The only things letting the cottage down were minor cleaning issues (cobwebs, and dust), the fact the windows needed a good clean throughout! And the 'well worn' sofas in the lounge - the large round table in the kitchen more than made up for the sofas and proved a great place for the family to sit together. I must stress that the issues I have raised are minor and although need addressing, would not prevent me/my family from returning- infact I am looking at going back next year with the inlaws! Thanks for late checkout and chocs :)

Had a wonderful family holiday in this really beautiful cottage. The location could not be better though the weather could have been a little kinder! The cottage is stunning and the beds were very comfortable and had everything we needed.Only criticisms would be we didn't find the sofas in the lounge to be very comfortable and not enough information on recycling but only minor irritations and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others and would love to come back one day.
