Excellent large cottage for six adults and five children. Large quiet bedroom for grandparents with own bathroom up separate stair. Sheets and towels clean and fresh and everything spotless. Heating kept us very warm at the end of October. Pity so many of the double glazed window panes were steamed up blocking the views.

Great for large groups, house and gardens/surrounding countryside are fabulous.Kitchen has a lovely big table for wine fuelled debates! Kelso is a great nearby town - have a pint in Rutherfords and dinner at Cobbles. We will probably use it again for next years fishing trip.

This was ideal for our extended family from grandparents to grandchildren. The children had lots of space inside and outside and we found everything we needed available at the steading.

Very nice 5 bedroom cottage in the borders. Very quiet location. Has a lovely homely feel. Although not been with small children it seems well equiped to cater for little ones. Brilliant social kitchen/ dining area. Reasonably spacious bedrooms. Clean and tidy. Due to time of year visited unable to take advantage of outside space but this does appear nice with a sheltered garden to the rear. Have been a regular visitor over a few years so it must have something good going for it.
