Foxglove boasts a brilliant roof terrace where guests can sit out and admire the simply stunning views over the sea.

Set on the coastal road, just 600 yards above sheltered Maidencombe Beach and the village’s pretty thatched inn, these six very comfortably furnished holiday properties (refs 28862, 28863, 28864, 28865, 28866 and 28867) all have separate entrances and enjoy the use of an acre of attractively landscaped gardens with extensive sea views. They are ideally situated for the coastal path, yet still enjoy a peaceful and tranquil setting for abundant local wildlife. Primrose (a ground floor apartment), Bluebell (set on the first floor) and Foxglove (on the second floor with a roof terrace giving spectacular sea views) are situated in a purpose-built extension to the owner’s Victorian residence, whilst Poppy (a first floor apartment) is part of the original house. The ‘English Riviera’ is famous for its mild climate and is ideal for year-round breaks. Torquay, with its many amenities is only 4 miles away. Torquay town centre and Living Coasts are about 5 minutes away. Oddicombe Beach can be reached by foot down a very steep, wooded lane, or choose a more gentle ascent on the historic Babbacombe Cliff Railway. One of only a few original working funicular railways, the Babbacombe Cliff Railway has been transporting visitors up and down the 240 foot cliff-face since 1926. A short stroll from Oddicombe Beach leads to Babbacombe Beach and a pub. Nearby, visit the Babbacombe Model Village. Exeter and Plymouth are within an easy drive. A welcome pack would have been nice, after driving 350 miles to get there we had to find a shop to get the basics for a cup of coffee, Lovely view from balcony.

We had a great week's holiday in Foxglove and felt very comfortable in the accommodation provided. The provision of Wi Fi would have been a bonus.

The accommodation was lovely and view over roof top balcony was beautiful. The rooms were very clean and well thought out. There were just a few things that could have been improved on.The bathroom needed a rail to hold onto when getting out of the shower as my mother did actually fall coming out of the shower on the first day. Some more towel rails would have been useful as the room is for 4 people yet only 1 rail.A lite welcome pack would have been nice or even a pint of milk as we travelled over 3 hours so a cup of tea would have been very welcome!.when we handed the keys in as all the holidaymakers did at 10am it would have been nice for the owners to have been there instead was a note telling us to leave keys on the table.Having said all that the overall stay was fantastic and despite a few comments I would stay there again.
