The estate is recognised as a European Heritage Site for its otter population and ancient Caledonian oak forest. Craignure (6 miles) has a food shop, garage, post office, tourist information centre, pub and restaurant, and is the car ferry port to Oban. Ardura is a great base for visiting Iona, Tobermory and Duart Castle. Excellent hillwalking in the area. Nearby are a swimming pool, gym, health spa, golf courses and sandy beaches. Shops 6 miles.

Fabulous cottage in a lovely setting. We have stayed on Mull for many years but never in this area. Lovely part of the island. 6 miles from Craignure (ferry) where you have a number of shops and a petrol station. The cottage is well equipped, spacious, warm and comfortable. There was nothing we needed that wasn't already there. The bath/shower was a bit of a challenge but, apart from that, we couldn't fault anything. The bottle of fizz in the fridge was a welcome sight on our arrival, thank you. It was lovely to listen to the stags in the next field roaring away. The cheeky Hooded Crows did make us jump when tapping on the bedroom window for the first time. We spotted quite a bit of wildlife when walking nearby beside the river. Should we visit Mull again, we wouldn't hesitate to see if this cottage is free. We have a very enjoyable two weeks.

But ' N Ben was comfortable & the kitchen was well equipped. The bath was a 3/4 size which was more of a problem than I expected. The area is beautiful,& the wild life spectacular..

Great cottage and well situated to explore the entire isle. It is well presented, quite secluded but not too remote, has a whole stack of games/jigsaws/DVDs etc...for those rainy day (and they have a few), fairly up to date and the wireless worked most of the time. There's plenty of parking space and play space for kids. Minor negatives - it could do with a separate freezer as the fridge is small and the freezer section is even smaller. The field next to the cottage has a slightly dodgy gate and there were a few escapes by the cattle. The water pressure into the bathroom was up and down and takes a bit of getting used to but we got there!

A lovely warm cottage with wonderful open fire, a great central location for travelling to either Tobermory or to visit the island of Iona. Would go back without hesitation.
