We did enjoy staying here, really liked the cottage. It was conveniently situated in a village with a good shop and a pub with good food. we loved the fact that we could just walk to the coastal path, and then to either Morston Quay, where we went on a seal watching trip, or to Wells. It did turn cold during our stay, so we would have appreciated a higher TOG duvet, and it took us some time to work out the central heating. Our main dislike was the parking on a blind corner.

We had a lovely stay at Blacksmith Cottage. The house was very clean and organised. It was perfectly located for local walks; we had a lovely lunch in the local pub and it housed six of us very comfortably. It was excellent value for money and Beatrice was extremely helpful prior to our arrival to make us feel welcome and give us relevant information about the cottage and the area.

Our group of 6 adults fitted perfectly into the cottage which is very comfortable and well equipped. It is a good place to return to after a day's walking and exploring the north Norfolk coast. The local shop is a bonus and only a couple of minutes walk. The pub is handy and fine for an evening meal. We particularly enjoyed the Maritime museum at Stiffkey, the talk from the guides there was a highlight, as was the Sunday afternoon guided tour of Binham Abbey.

Next to a very busy A road that was frequently jammed with cars right outside the garden, also sometimes almost impossible to walk down the street due the numbers of cars and no pavements on either side of the road, and no room for pedestrians! Would definitely look for somewhere away from the road in future if I were to return. I think the photos are a bit deceptive - we booked it thinking it would have a nice garden for the kids to play in, but it wasn't like that. It was like staying next to a motorway.

A lovely cottage, warm welcome from the owner with tea and biscuits. A great base for exploring the area. We had to keep our dog on a lead though in the garden as there were places he could escape!

I booked Blacksmiths cottage with the idea of it being a quiet country cottage which is the way it is advertised, however it is on the main coast road which is busy from 6am till 7pm!The cottage really could do with some upgrades within the kitchen and bathroom. The garden is not easily accessible apart from the smaller bit by the road.

5 girlfriends were using the cottage for a get together for the weekend. While the cottage did serve our needs perfectly well, the welcome tea tray was a nice touch and the location was perfect for our walking and coast access, there were a few things which would definitely improve things. The garden being roadside is not usable and this should be made clear. By making it dog proof would have helped. I think it would have been nice if there had been enough wood for at least one night's fire lighting, rather than just a little kindling. As a result we didn't use it which was a shame. Can't remember if there was an option of buying fuel in advance? The kitchen is not well equipped and as we were cooking all weekend we didn't find this easy or comfortable. In particular there was a bare minimum of plates, cups etc so we were endlessly washing up! I would not return to the cottage with my family as would not be able to allow kids outside alone.

Loved the cottage. It was perfect for us but some of the furnishings and appliances were a bit tired. Not an issue for us but I can imagine might be for others. VERY reasonably priced and the owner was an absolute delight - so helpful. Lovely to have a garden. The location is really good although the village lacks payments and that did make for a nerve wracking walk to the pub with the children. would definitely stay there again.

Homely & cosy cottage, but in desperate need of updating (including bed sheets) and of a good clean. If both of these issues were improved, I'd have give it a 9 or 10 & happily pay more. On the main coast road, which requires a 2nd person to safely navigate you out of the parking space onto the road, this is not clear on booking. However beautiful area, wonderful walks along the coast and also inland. Very helpful owners giving advise as to places to go.

The cottage was great in a lovely quiet village right near the Saltmarshes. Many walks and amazing beaches on your doorstep! It is a cosy cottage with a great feel about it although a few of the furnishings could do with a little update - however it is good value for money in a great location so don't let that put you off it is minor compared to the benefits :-)
