A short walk from saltmarshes, beaches, creeks and sea – and excellent area for exploring, walking, birdwatching, sailing, observing seal colonies or simply relaxing. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and adjoining England’s largest coastal nature reserve, these two attractive beamed holiday cottages stand in the pretty conservation village of Stiffkey, near Blakeney. Comfortably furnished and well-equipped they are set within a half-acre, south-facing natural garden with fruit trees and beautiful views across rolling countryside. Four steam railways, Sandringham and Holkham Halls all within an easy drive. Village shops and P.O. 50 yards, good pub 300 yards.

    Got the potential to be a lovely cottage but needs some serious updating. Bed linen is ancient and pillows look and feel even older. Some of the decor is very dated...the bathroom has a bad firing "noddy" curtain...maybe suitable for a kids room?? No wardrobes in 2 of the bedrooms just a few hangers some of which are broken. The garden is full of weeds and just a mess. Wifi which you get charged for is sooooo slow. The kitchen was nice but could do with some oven gloves...the current ones are again ancient and because of this wouldn't trust them to use with hot dishes. The microwave is also very dated and huge which with a newer one would create more work top space. The saving grace of this cottage is the cosy lounge with log fire and the location in stiff key...walking distance to the shop and pub and right on the coastal road giving easy access to some great places including blakeney, holkham, wells and holt. The cottage is right on the main coastal road so wouldn't be too nice sitting in the garden with cars passing right next to you and in the height of summer you will experience a lot of traffic noise. It feels like a very un loved cottage but with some fresh bed linen, a well kept garden and some general updates this could be an excellent cottage.

    We had a lovely 3 day break, using this cottage as our base. The accommodation was very comfortable and had all that we needed. We would certainly consider staying here again.

    The cottage could be beautiful if it had a bit of money spent updating. It take you back to the sixty but not in a good way.No mirror in bath room and the one in the shower room you needed to be six foot to see in it.Bedding needs replacing in the room I shared also two of the three bedrooms had no hanging space only hangers on hooks.Kitchen kettle and microwave needs some attention.On a positive note the cottage was warm and cosy with lots of hot water.My four girlfriends and I had a wonderful holiday.

    Spacious comfortable cottage. Conveniently situated on the Norfolk Coast with easy access to the regular Coasthopper bus service, shop, and pub. Ideally situated for walking holidays and for the beaches of Wells and Sheringham. Well equipped cottage with little extras provided, but towels could have been included in the cost. A hair dryer would also be a welcome addition. Very helpful and friendly owner.

    Lovely cottage in a lovely location. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival. Lovely wood burning fire. Rooms great. Beds very comfortable. Parking space was appreciated too. Scored 7 on most as I cant think too carefully about difference between 7,8 etc. 3/4 seems a good score. Only reason Equipment was a 6 was the sofa chairs have clearly seen better days, cusions a little collapsed & cover throw has a rip & is a bit scruffy. Otherwise a great place to stay.

    We stayed here with our family of 6 - two of us and two married children with their partners - and loved it. It's a cosy characterful cottage in a great location for walks directly from the home. The landlady was very friendly over the phone and accommodating with our departure time on the Sunday. We'd definitely would come back.

    Lovely cottage, a couple of things could do with replacing such as bathroom mats and bathroom curtain, but that's being very picky! Very homely and great for a dog ,with the stone floors. Didn't need to worry about wet paws! Lovely to come back to after a day out. Would definetely recommend it.

    Lovely cottage, kitchen well equipped the addition of sugar, tea and biscuits laid out on a tray with a teapot on arrival was lovely. Bed was very comfortable, everywhere was clean and tidy. Only thing that did spoil a bit was that the boiler was very noisy. The Red Lion pub just down the road was superb and the village shop very friendly. We would look to book again.

    NEEDS REFURBISHING AND COULD OF BEEN A LOT CLEANER . TV HAD VERY POOR PICTURE QUALITY. AND GARDEN NEEDED TENDING TO .

    This was an excellent property in good condition and well equipped and we have en joyed our brief time there very much. There is only one drawback and that it the ease of getting off the parking area on what is an extremely busy and even dangerous street with no proper sight lines. It is necessary to have another person on the other side of the road in order to assist with exiting the site. Given that one is told that folk are friendly and obliging in Norfolk it would seem to make sense to approach the neighbours opposite to locate a parabolic mirror above the gutter line on the gable end to facilitate using the parking area.
