An amazing landscape, magnificent castles, distillery trails, island hoping, gorgeous towns and villages rich in history, a rugged coastline, outdoor activities to last a lifetime plus a wonderful choice of self-catering holiday cottages.

First, in alphabetical order is Angus, a unique and fascinating part of Scotland; miles of unspoilt coastline and further inland challenging Munros, plus a rich history and world famous food. If you are a golf enthusiast you can play on championship courses.

Argyll and Bute remains unspoilt and includes the best of Central Scotland, distilleries, museums, castles, walking, golf and horse riding. There are many annual events and festivals including the Cowal Highland Gathering and the Islay and Bute jazz festivals. Oban is known as the gateway to the Western Isles, set sail for the Isle of Islay, Isle of Mull, Isle of Tiree plus many more.

The kingdom of Fife is full of rustic villages, charming towns, world famous golf courses plus a wonderful coastline. The jewel in the crown has to be St Andrews, not just for the golf but also it’s University, one of the oldest seats of learning. There are wonderful cafes, pubs and restaurants to enjoy locally produced food and drink.

Perthshire is magical with gushing waterfalls, tumbling rivers, beautiful moors, tranquil glens and thick forests. There are spectacular mountains to climb and walks through wild countryside, lookout for stags and osprey. Lively Perth is very cosmopolitan with fine restaurants and cafes.

Last but not least is Stirlingshire with scenic towns and villages, meandering rivers and rolling hills. Stirling is a live and vibrant city with its castle perched spectacularly on a rocky outcrop, take a tour of the old town to unearth it history. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park are perfect to enjoy a walk or take part in a variety of outdoor activities.
