My name is Annabelle Baker and I am the Area Manager for County Durham and Northumberland. I have lived in the heart of Durham for just over three years and still feel so incredibly lucky to be so close to this thriving city. Being able to see the famous castle and cathedral from our garden reminds me of what a historic city Durham is and that it so rightly deserves its UNESCO World Heritage Site accolade. I enjoy running and keeping fit and will often explore the city on foot which means that I am still finding new sights to behold, new paths to take and new areas to visit.

I’ve been in the travel industry since I was 18 so you could say it’s in my blood. Before moving to Wales permanently I ran a successful travel business in the Midlands and have owned a holiday home so I know what customers generally look for when they choose a holiday cottage. Every day as I’m driving round visiting our owners or looking at new holiday properties I tell myself how very lucky I am to live in West Wales. I love its strong and thriving cultural identity, the friendly people and of course the amazing scenery both inland and on the coast. My favourite way to relax is a family walk on the beach with our dog; whatever the weather! When you come to West Wales you’re sure of a “Croeso cynnes”; or warm Welsh welcome.
Area Manager - London & South East UK
I'm based out of the beautiful city of Canterbury and when I'm not in work you can often find me at the St. Lawerence Ground cheering on the Kent Spitfires. I have lived in Kent for 5 years, I grew up in Cornwall and also spent 5 years overseas, spending time in Greece, Cyprus, Spain and the Canary Islands. I enjoy playing sports including football and Golf, Sandwich is home to The Open which is coming back to Kent in 2020. One of my passions is flying, I love flying over the South East Coastline and admiring the amazing scenery.
Area Manager - North
Having lived and worked in Lancashire now for over 15 years, I have had lots of time to discover all that is great about this region. The diversity of Lancashire is fabulous, offering access to the popular seaside resorts of the Fylde Coast, such as Blackpool and Lytham St. Anne’s, whilst the still very much undiscovered Ribble Valley, offers fabulous walking and cycling opportunities, great pubs and restaurants and historic towns, such as Clitheroe. I spend a lot of my spare time exploring this wonderful countryside with my little dog, Archie, who loves to paddle in the shallower parts of the River Ribble.
Area Manager - Cumbria & Isle of Man
I have lived in Cumbria for some years, the reason I live here is the outstanding beauty the Lake District offers, all the lakes are fantastic however my favourite has to be Wast Water just for its peace and tranquillity. There are so many things to entertain you in the Lakes from fell walking, cycling and if you love the water then you can hire a boat and see the lakes from a different prospective. I have been working for Cottages.com now for nearly three years and I have the best job in Cumbria, getting out and about meeting people and seeing some stunning cottages, I am privileged to be able to see these amazing views day in day out.
Area Manager - Hants and South Dorset
I have been a Regional Manager for cottages.com for 16 years, initially covering Sussex and the Isle of Wight, and I have recently moved area so that I now cover the Southern and Eastern part of Dorset including Bournemouth, Poole, Swanage, Corfe Wareham and the surrounding villages. I love this part of the UK – everyone is so friendly and there is so much to see, including some of the most scenic walks with breathtaking views. I have relatives who live in Dorset so I have been lucky enough to enjoy many breaks over the years to this wonderful county – the beaches are so beautiful too!
Area Manager - Devon
I have lived in Devon all of my life, the reason I love living in this part of the world is being close to the seaside and being able to walk on Dartmoor. I live near to the South West coast path and spend many a weekend walking.I have been working for cottages.com for 10 years, I would say it is the best job as my office has a different view each day, every day is different, and I get to see some amazing places and meet interesting owners.
Area Manager - Western Scotland
I have worked for the company for 3.5 years initially covering North Cumbria and for the last year Dumfries and Galloway. I grew up helping my parents renovate houses and then run a self-catering cottage leading me to be fascinated by property and their potential, and I love this industry. When I am not working I love taking our dog for long walks on beach at Sandyhills.
Area Manager - Cornwall
I live in Newquay and absolutely love this area of Cornwall as there is so much going for it. From beautiful scenery and some charming towns, right through to the stunning coastline - perfect for walking.
Area Manager - East of England
Tourism is in my blood, I grew up working in the hotel my parents own so I understand what people really want from their holiday. I am really passionate about East Anglia and live on the Sunrise Coast in Lowestoft. Living so close to The Broads National Park is fantastic and doing something either on or by the water is where you will find me at the weekend.
