When we’re on holiday we tend to splurge, diets and calories go out the window, and why not! Enjoy that piece of pie, have one more drink, bake that dessert but what about the dog? They deserve something a bit extra, after all it’s their holiday too, and having the same old biscuits is no fun. Well we thought we’d give you some ideas to bake up and cook for your pooch while on holiday, to really get that tail wagging!
Firstly pre-heat oven to 175 degrees C (350 degrees F) & line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a large bowl beat the eggs, the stir in the milk and fat until well combined, gradually add the flour and mix until it forms a stiff dough
Roll the dough into 1-2 inch size balls and place on the baking tray
Place in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes
Cool on rack and store in air-tight container
Preheat oven to 150 degrees (300 degrees F) & line a baking tray with parchment paper
In a bowl mix together the egg, peanut butter, mashed banana and honey. Add in the oats and flour – bring together to form a stiff dough.
Turn out the mixture on to a well-floured surface and roll out to a ¼ inch thickness. Cut into a variety of shapes with a cookie cutter.
Bake biscuits for approx. 30 minutes until golden in colour and dried, size dependable. Cool on wire rack and store in air-tight container
Place the chicken, vegetables and rice into a large saucepan and cover with the water and mix. Place on medium high heat and bring to the boil stirring constantly.
Cover and reduce heat and simmer until rice is tender and all of the liquid has been absorbed. Cool complete before serving, depended on size of your dog this will make approx. 6 portions.
